Initially Chris Marks presented himself as being professional and knowledgeable. When the house was purchased, pool began to develop an algae problem. Chris treated the pool, solving the algae problem but his treatment cased a purplish sentiment which Chris ascribed to "pollen from the air." This was not accurate as there was no other purple pollen anywhere in the yard. Subsequent pool services were not satisfactory. Chris missed 1 or 2 weeks (of weekly service) and the pool filter was filled with 6 inches of leaves; this blockage caused the pool filter to burn out. At this point, I fired Sierra Blue and enlisted the services of Pooltime. 18 + months after discontinuing services from Sierra Blue I received a paper bill for $160 owing on my account after I had received no contact from Sierra Blue in over one year; this contact was in the form of a bill collector requesting payment. I contacted Scott Marks who insisted that I have received contacts by e-mail for 18 months as he had been sending his invoices to a former e-mail provider who went out of business in 2007. I attempted to explain to him that I had never received any contact from him since early 2006 and that he had not sent any certified or other paper mail to me regarding the alleged debt until 12/11/08. He stated that his computer e-mail program did not indicate that any e-mails were returned as undeliverable which is frankly impossible. Unfortunately, I have to recommend against using this company as their service and billing are clearly unsatisfactory.
Description of Work: Prior to enlisting with Pooltime for weekly pool and spa care needs, I had enlisted their services to take care of the swimming pool at my residence in Sacramento.
