DAISY TILE

Marvin arrived to bid about 90 minutes after my initial phone call. The bid was slightly over others received. I selected Marvin because he was available and well recommended by a friend and on Yelp. The job was completed in four days. Marvin and his assistant did an excellent job of protecting the carpet and hardwood from damage. They cleaned up daily. The demo and concrete overlay were completed on day 1. While Marvin hoped to continue on day 2, the concrete was not quite ready. (Very damp weather conditions in the house.) He laid tile and grouted on day 3, and sealed on day 4. Marvin had planned to use tile to trim the base. However, we ran out. (I had purchased 45 sq ft of tiles to cover 36 sq ft. Marvin did not tell me if any tiles were damaged - either in the box or during cutting/install.) I was very pleased with the quality, as this 19050s bathroom had some unique angles around the door, walls, and bathtub. My only complaint is that the corner of one tile is up about 1/8" above the others.

Marvin came to my house within 15 minutes of my call to give me an estimate. He went to many supply houses trying to match my tile and came back with 3 choices. He tried to work with the existing tiles, but when that didn't work out, he didn't charge extra for replacing them. He also fixed a chipped tile without charging extra. Marvin did a good job, didn't damage my new faucets, cleaned up, and was polite and professional.

Marvin came on time with a large crew and showed up when he said he would. He finished the job quickly and was the best price of the three contractors who bid on the work. He has also tiled a bathroom floor and one wall and provided plumbers, carpenters, painters and electricians who all did excellent work with high quality (Porcher Tetsu) plumbing fixtures requiring a high level of expertise.
