Called on 7/6/16 to set an appointment for 7/8/16. I was told they would call me the on 7/7/16 to set a time for 7/8/16. I gave them my home number & my cellphone number. They never called. I called them on 7/7/16 & they stated they would have someone call me back. A few mins. later a technician called & stated he would call the office/owner & have them call me to set an apt for 7/8/16. I told the technician if I can't get an appt. for 7/8/16 to let me know so I could call someone else. They NEVER called. So I called someone else who had a better rating & got an appt. for the day I wanted. I will never call, use or recommend this company as they are unprofessional & obviously don't care about clients.

When my rooftop heating unit went out in the coldest part of December, when record lows were starting, I called Western Equipment on a recommendation of a colleague. When their technician arrived, he was pleasant enough, and seemed to know what he was talking about for my unit. The things he commented about, was my rooftop heating unit was really a combo unit, and that the A/C part was disconnected. The unit was so old that the control board was also probably bad, so replacing an obsolete control board was going to cost as much as 25% of a new unit anyway. Here's the problem, as what I knew from both my home inspection as well as my own inspections and help from other HVAC contractors: My rooftop unit is heat-only, The unit is roughly from the mid to late-90s. Control boards are still available. I like to see if techs really know what they're talking about, or if they're selling me a bill of goods. Sadly, Western sent a tech who either didn't know or didn't care if the chance was he could get me to buy a new unit instead. I'll never use them, or recommend them to anyone.
