It was around $500 - $600. I didn't really shop around but it seems pretty reasonable. It done within 24 hours, one day. I think they did a good job. The first time I went to them - they have really improved since I left a review the first time.

We recently moved to Lancaster from the San Fernando Valley, where we had a really great mechanic. But 60 miles one way is a long trip, particularly when the temp. gauge on the truck is pegging up to 3/4. So we turned to Angie's List to hopefully find a good, trustworthy, local shop, and once again we were not disappointed.

We dropped off the truck at 8:30 in the morning, described the problem and left it for them to diagnose the issue. We didn't hear anything by 2:00 so I decided to call and see what was going on, at that time they told me that they couldn't find anything wrong but they would keep it until 4:00 and keep checking. When they called back at 4:00 they told me they found nothing and we could come pick it up.

When we arrived at the shop Rick described what they did and went over the possible reasons that the gauge could have spiked like that. He also told me that they checked the fluids and put some grease on my door hinges. I asked how much and he told me that they didn't do any work on it so there was no charge. This caught me off guard to say the least, they could have easily charged me a fee for the time they spent looking at it, or they could have been dishonest and made something up and charged me for work they didn't even do (maybe I'm just a skeptic, but this has been known to happen with shady car shops).

Needless to say, AL didn't let me down and I now have a new shop that is much closer to home!

We have two cars that will be taken to QH Automotive for as long as we are living in the area.

The flower was a nice touch too.

Always pleasant to go here.  They explain everything and always guarantee their work for 2 years, rather than the 1 year at other places in Lancaster.  I also get a flower whenever I pick up my car.

I talked to a few other people about my problem, and got quotes from $500.00 to 1000.00.  I then checked your(ANGIES) list to find Quartz Hill Automotive.  The owner and his associates treated me with great respect, which I appreciated.  He had my car for a couple of days, fixed the problem and charged me less than all other quotes.  He also gave me a dark chocolate and a rose when I picked up the car.  Also sent a thank you card the next week.  They really know how to treat a lady.  It has been a couple of months now, and the Honda runs perfectly.  I am going back to him next week though, the air conditioner is blow warm air and the desert temps are up to 100 degrees out here.

Hi Again
I had a really expensive year with other mechanics - I don't know if it was their fault, but I'm very paranoid about them, especially here in Lancaster.  The good professionals and mechanics seemed to be in Los Angeles.  I'm really grateful to Angie's List for sending me to QH, which is just a walk away from me in Lancaster (I only have one car that works - another long story).  They told me the problem was that one of the last mechanics had reinstalled some hoses badly.  I came in about 3 and said that I had to have the car back, so they finished it by 6, for the basic price.  I am very releaved, since I was runnning out of money on car repairs.

Service was completed in one week.  QH AUTOMOTIVE called us every day to update us on progress.  Their service writer is friendly and professional as is the owner.  They are our professionals for any and all automotive needs.

They were really nice. They looked at our truck first and did everything he said he was going to do. Everything was fine. I recommend him and have recommended him already. I called around and he seemed to be fair and he was courteous on the phone.

We were immediately greeted with a cheerful service technician.  Told him what we wanted and he gave us an estimate of $120.  We were told by a previous service company several months prior that we needed a new serpentine belt which we forgot to mention.  However, while servicing our Maxima we were called and told about the condition of the belt.  We OK'd the replacement and the estimate.  Also while servicing the transmission they found that the fluid was burnt and dirty which required some extra work.  They did not charge us for the extra fluid used for flushing the transmission.   Also, while replacing the serpentine belt they had to replace an additional belt which they did not charge us for!

Doug Beimler's QH Automotive treated us in a professional manner, and were not condescending like the Nissan Dealer.   We have found a new mechanic!

I have a Nissan Frontier.  I will trust "her" to QH Automotive as well...without worry of being ripped off.

They are working on the engine and the transmission. They are knowledgable and courteous. They are an honest company as well.
