This company was contracted through my landlord's Insurance company and they were called out to replace a garage door opener for our garage because we were moving in. The handyman showed up told my landlord that he needed cash upfront to get the garage door opener at Home Depot. He came back and replaced the equipment. While testing the door opener, the garage door itself squeeled on the way down so I questioned the man about it. He sad that the noise was normal and that it would go away with use. Two and a half months later the door still squeeled and it decided that it was not going to open anymore. Today 5/7/2012 we called our landlord to inform her of the garage opener busting. I then called this company at 9:00am today to see if I can get someone to come out and repair the door. When I spoke with Susie ( whom I assume is the receptionist) I tried to explain the issue, I was cut off before I could even finish and was told that she would look up the order and call me back. After waiting 45 minutes, I called back and was told that the "technician" was booked for the day. I went on to explain that my car was in the garage and did not want to force it open ( as to not break it ) and that I needed to get my car out buy 3:00pm so I could pick up my son from school. Ten minutes after that, Susie, called back to tell me that Claude (who happens to be the owner of the company) would come out to look at the door. Two hours later Claude called saying he would meet me at the gate and told him that my key was in the car in the garage. When I told him this he got upset saying he would come later this evening and that there was little he could do. When we questioned his ability to repair the door (after he said there was little he could do) he became very irate and blamed us for breaking the door by opening it manually. When we asked him if the was licencsed or certified to work on garage doors he admitted to only being a handyman and not having any type of licensce for any service provided and then hung up on us. I called my landlord to explain what happened and when she called and spoke with Claude he was very rude and began to yell at her and was told they would not come out and service anything. They said she only paid $60.00 dollars for the service and I have the invoice where she was charged $315.00 which she paid for cash. Overall, this has been one of the worst experiences of customer service in the Antelope Valley and believe me there are many more. Save your money and go with a true professional. These people have no customer service skills and will not man up to their mistakes.
