Ocampo'S Plumbing

Yesterday morning I noticed that the carpet in front of my laundry room was wet. After determining that the wet spot wasn't caused by dripping wet teenagers who finally realized that all their clothes were in the laundry room I began looking for more water. I found water at the base of my furnace, which happens to be located directly under the teens' bathroom. The plumber I originally called, Rob, had a family emergency and was en-route to the hospital with his loved one. I apologized for the timing and said I would try someone else. Rob asked if he could call me back within the next 10 minutes. True to his word he called back and told me that I should be hearing from Manuel Ocampo in about 20 minutes. Manuel happened to be finishing up a job near by and was to call me when he was finished. Within 30 minutes not only had I heard from Manuel, he was in my laundry room looking for the source of the leak. Manuel was knowledgeable, and thorough. After going up and down the stairs several times and tracing the pipes he had good news and bad. I didn't have a plumbing issue, I had an air conditioning issue which was out of his perview. He asked if I had an air conditioner maintenance contractor and I told him no. Not knowing how serious the problem could or couldn't be and with the heat expected to go into the triple digits over the next few days Manuel went the extra step and contacted an HVAC contractor he knew explained the situation and asked the contractor how soon he could get to my house. The HVAC contractor said he couldn't get to my house that evening but would stop by first thing the next morning. I thank Manuel for being so quick to arrive, thorough in his service and helping me connect with an HVAC contractor. Tomorrow I'll write a review about the HVAC guy.
