Greenbee Landscape

About us

Design and Build Landscaping- We have 10 employees Most of our work is "in house." We have hardscape, electrical, plumbing and carpentry subcontractors from time to time. Ca. State License number C27-615027 Currently free consultation locally. 10% off design work for Angie's list customers Each project becomes a living work of art. We do not design "cookie cutter" landscapes. At the same time, we understand that most homeowners are not interested in spending alot of time maintaining the garden. We believe the outdoor living space should serve the client, not the client serving the space with labor hours and expensive maintenance. This becomes the "inner beauty" of our landscapes and results in satisfied clients who continue to refer our company years after the job is completed. Since 1991, "Conservation" has been our mission and a common thread throughout our work.

Brad was very professional every step of the way. The project was completed on schedule and on budget. His crew cleaned up after themselves. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I both tried to contact this company via phone and email. They did not respond to either or return phone calls. Very unprofessional. If you are lucky enough to get a call back or email return, I hope their work makes up for their unprofessionalism.
Response from Greenbee Landscape

"We have worked very hard to correct any lack of communication. We now have Grasshopper routing for our calls, and if Cheryl or Eric do not answer your call right away, you can expect a callback shortly. I am the owner, and I also offer my own cell number to our clients once we are hired. Sorry for the previous lack of response, hopefully that will never happen again."

Greenbee Landscape did an excellent job on our front yard desert landscape. They were very timely with price estimates, the drawing up of plans, giving us information and pictures of plants, helping us with how to care for the plants...and the job itself was done within seven working days (our front yard is 3,000 square feet). We would highly recommend Brad and his crew!

"According to our records we also emailed links for a rebate program and photos of our projects on 5/5/2105. On 5/28 they called back and we gave them a rough estimate for xeriscape remodeling over the phone based on square footage. Phone quotes are used to give callers a sense of budget based on Google Earth Pro measurements. They are not meant to be final estimates. Too bad they didn't call back for more information, perhaps we could have helped them. We will follow up and see if the work has been done or not and attempt to provide more detailed information."

It went very well. They removed the remaining root systems from previous plants, prepped the soil. Then they planted shrubs, agaves, ornamental grasses and trees. Then they created two rock river beds and laid decomposed granite as ground cover. They took some broken concrete that I had and made a decorative walkway to side fence to backyard. They also moved two stautes from backyard to front walkway Zen garden that they created. All in all I liked whatr they did.

The job went great. Brad divided the landscaping into 2 phases, and his crew completed everything on time. Price was fair and we love the job. Everything is guaranteed 1 year, and we had a leaky anti-siphon valve after 2 years, and Brad fixed it free. We are waiting for him to do our front yard.

I did not use Brad, but he was helpful as well as informed about desert landscape. Due to the fact that it was all about the money I had to spend. Brad was 2nd in line for the job. Even though I was not able to use him, I would still recommend him due to his response to my project.

The construction went excellent! Brad and his team were consistant with their timeline and finished the complete project in the pre-planned 2 weeks. The concrete team (contracted by Greenbee) was excellent. Our patio looks professionally done and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. The shubbery that was planted came to us in prime condition and although we are having the project completed in the beginning of the winter, I have no doubt everything will be perfectly fine come the springtime. The Cherry Laurel bushes were gorgeous and Brad even said that they took the extra time and effort to find the highest quality for us. Upon installing the sod and decompossed granite, the team was at our house on time and left by 5 p.m. each day. They were polite and did not leave a mess. Upon finishing, the crew made sure to sweep and ensure that the grounds were clean of any debris.
Overall, this was an excellent experience and we look forward to having Greenbee complete other projects for us!

Contacted for an estimate on landscaping and had an appointment within 3 days. He called twice to verify time. Came out, took pictures and measurements. Very friendly, seemed professional. Left saying that he would have a plan/estimate within 4 days. Never received a call. We called again after a week and were told to come out to his office to go over plans. Arrived to find that no plans had been drawn. Took our ideas and said he would give us prices for each stage of landscaping since we had a limited budget. He would email us. After a few more days, we finally received an estimate. The price far exceeded other estimates we received from landscapers who gave us their bids in a timely manner.
Response from Greenbee Landscape

"Right now our biggest challenge is turnaround time on creative sketching and estimates. We are addressing the issue by hiring a part-time architect and another person in the office to keep all of our clients informed. We have also determined that we cannot promise to provide free design work in the future, although we did perform this service for the client. Our pricing also carries the overhead of a completely insured and licensed company and although we are not the cheapest we continue to stay very busy with a strong referral base. Look for major improvements in our turnaround time for estimates."

Over all I'd have to say they were professional from start to finish. I sat down with the Brad Hayes , the designer and we talked about what I was looking for and a price range. He designed two layouts. The second was slightly more then the price range, but I liked it so I went with it. We signed a contract and a schedule was set. They came out and did the work. When the plan didn't quite work as drawn they adjusted it to work. It all worked out very well. I liked it.

The back yard is next and they will be doing it.

The landscaping job went great from beginning to end. Brad's price was fair, his crew fast and clean, and everything was done on schedule with all work guaranteed. To make costs more manageable, Brad divided the job into 2 phases. The first phase included the curved, free-flow curbing with landscaping boulders, installing sprinklers, rototilling and amending the soil, and laying in sod. The second phase was the decomposed granite area with trees, shrubs and a flagstone seating area with 2 large concrete pots set as a focal point at the center of the yard. I was so happy with the curved grass area after phase 1 that I suggested to my wife that we could hold off on phase 2, but she was anxious to finish the yard after 9 years so we completed the job. Brad has a new motto - "Greenbee Landscape, Planting Smiles," and we are smiling with our beautiful yard.

Poorly.
Response from Greenbee Landscape

"We continue to offer irrigation repair to the public and we do charge an hourly rate plus material which is quoted over the phone. Unfortunately it is not cost effective to estimate sprinkler repair jobs. Clients who actually hire us are given the owner's cell phone number and email and we have worked diligently to improve communication, adding a part-time office manager and offering multiple ways to reach us. Clients who hire us are given priority and our track record is clear about the quality of our service."

I believe that I told my story above. There's not much more to say other than I would and will recommend this company to anyone that needs landscaping in the Antelope Valley as well as in the San Fernando Valley. Again. If you are looking for a landscape company, call Greenbee Landscape or go to their web-site, www.greenbeelandscape.com.
