First of all, I was on a tight timeline and had a couple of other landscapers deny the job because of that. Frank was kind and willing to work with the timeline. He showed up for the initial walk through on time. It was obvious that he was very knowledgeable about plants and understood the look I was aiming for. I'd say out of all the landscapers I interviewed (about 8) he was the most knowledgeable. After signing the initial contract it was difficult to get commitments. Frank also does not give you a direct cell number so you have to call the office and then play phone tag until you can hook up. Even when his crew is at your house. This is a little frustrating. His crew is nice and clean up after themselves. They work hard. He could be on-site a bit more but my job was small compared to some others he had going on. He met my timeline and the yard looked beautiful. But there was a few problems. He had a plant count in his estimate. It seemed too many and I was right. He did not put near as many as he had quoted. When I asked about it he gave me a very small credit. I believe I over paid for plants. The lawn was not installed correctly (not flat, lumpy). He replaced it with no problem. But then the next lawn began to die in spots after just a couple of weeks. He quoted me several hundred dollars to come fix it! Turns out there is no guarantee on the product. Almost a year later, the yard is a bit overgrown already and has needed some maintenance but it does look good overall. If you use this company, make sure everything is in writing including guarantees.
