He did alright. He re-lit the pilot light for me, and fixed it so that it wouldn't blow out again. He added another foot of pipe on our roof, and put something around the heater so that the wind wouldn't blow out the pilot light again. When he was out here, he did notice some other issues around our house. He said we had a flood under our bathroom and would need to replace a few things and replace the grounding wire under our house too. He was correct that there were issues, but I feel like he made them out to sound worse than they are. He gave us a verbal estimate of $3800 total. I ended up calling our regular plumber, who fixed the leaking pipe under our house for much cheaper, $470, and I have an electrician coming out to fix the grounding wire later. Be careful working with these guys, and make sure you get a second estimate.
