Everything was great except the tile. The glass tile was not done to my satisfaction. Tile guy had to remove the tile half way from being completed on one wall because it was crooked. Then the glass tile has chips in 4 places and the backing on the tile at the cut edges is chipped so the color is off. I can see it and it bothers me. My guests don't notice, and I don't tell them. The contractor was great with the bones of the job, but I would find a different tile guy.
You do need to watch what they are doing to make sure things are done the way you want. The light above the vanity was not centered and they were not going to move it until I pointed it out - and they added that to the cost of my project.  The paint was semigloss on the door and trim when I asked for high gloss. That never got fixed. I just wanted the project done and I will paint it eventually. They were going to install brass door knob and hinges that they supplied, but if they were to look at all the other doors in the place we have brushed nickle. Caught that before they left so they had to go and get the right knob and hinges.
 After 2 other projects in my house, this contractor was the best of the 3. BML arrived on time, ready to work, communication between everyone was great, responded to my calls quickly, cleaned up daily.  

BML Constuction started the remodel in mid-June 2012. The job entailed a 500 foot room addition which included a master bath, master closet and family room. It included a kitchen remodel which consisted of removal of a load bareing wall and installation of a kitchen island. Job started with the removal of a patio cover, cement patio and stucco from the back of the house. The demo crew was quick and effective. Next the foundations were dug, rebar installed and cement poured. The floor for the room addition was on a raised foundation to match the existing house. The framing was challeging due to the design. The family room was a cathedral ceiling whereas the rest was not. This led to the back of the house not looking good. The framers designed a porch that gave about 4 foot overhang over the patio door and sidelights. It was awesome and very practicle. It also made the back side of the house look like it was designed properly. Once the framing was done, electical and plumbing were installed, including a copper repipe and a new 200 amp electrical service panel. Next the load bearing wall was knocked down between the kitchen and the living room to give an open concept. The wall between the kitchen and the master bedroom was opened up and the existing master closet which backed up to the kitchen was repurposed to be a kitchen pantry. Then the dry wall was then installed thoughout the remodel. The kithen design then kicked in for custom cabinets. It took 7 iterations before a workable solution was achieved. The kitchen went from a galley kitchen to a an L-shape with the oven at an 45 degree angle in the corner. This allowed the sink and dishwasher to be on the island, and the cook top on the couter top. The kitchen turned out to be a true focal point. The master bath was hot potted and then the marble tiles were installed on the shower walls with a non slip black slate on the floor. The floor tiles were installed in the bathroom and kitchen. The finished ceiling in the kitchen did not match the living room and we decided to skim coat the living room and make it match the kitchen. We also had not included reskimming the master bedroom but also had BML do this also. We had doors included in the price but had purchaded them ourselves and BML credited us the allowance for the doors which we used to pay for the additional work in the living room. Then the walls were finished and painted. After our flooring contractor installed new hardwood floors thoughout the house, BML installed and painted all of the baseboards. Since we had additional tiles and marble left over from the remodel we negotiated with BML to also remodel the original bathroom at a very reasonable price.
Through out this process Brett (BML Constuction) kept us appraised of what was occurring, informed of any changes in schedule, talked through any issues that occurred during the construction process. Brett and his crews were very accomodating. We lived in the house through out the constuction process. At times it was challeging but allowed us to put additional money into the remodel. Since we were living in the house constant communication was needed to keep a house full of furniture and everything out of the path of the contractors. BML also arranged for fencing to keep our dogs out of the construction site. It was an amazing experience and I would definately reccommend BML Constuction to anyone. BML Contruction is really a good, solid, professional company to work with.

The different things went on differently. The landscaping and hardscaping was fine. The siding was good. The painting was okay and they put in built in stones for patios. I would use them again but probably not use them for the painting.
