Weathermaster's Chris Wilder, his son CJ, and team members Gabiel and Eddie did a great job on this project that had many facets because I had a roof over a roof and in another area a flat roof. They finished the job ahead of schedule, preserved all of my 70 in-ground plants, some close to the house, replaced rotted wood, were professional and expert. The final cost was the same as the bid--no add-on costs, even though they did additional work. There was a thorough daily clean-up. Weathermaster did my relatives' roof 10 years ago and they did a great job then. I highly recommend this family business.

We have used Weathermaster Roofing several times over the past 7 years for residential and commercial roofing projects. At the company helm are a father and son team with a true passion for roofing and extensive experience and knowledge for all roof construction issues. There is no problem they can't solve. We have used them for complete roof replacements, major and extensive roof repairs for leaks, replacement of roof skylights, and remediation and repair of commercial roofs. Their repairs stand the test of time and their new roof installations are of the highest quality construction and materials. They have very strict standards that they adhere to for function and aesthetics. In roofing it's what's underneath that counts, and Chris and CJ Wilder are perfectionists in their attention to all the details that go into engineering a tightly constructed roof. The quality of workmanship has always been excellent and they never cut corners. They are the most honest, ethical company we have ever worked with. Their prices are very reasonable and they don't up-sell. They recommend only what is truly necessary. For leaks in existing roofs, they are true experts in finding and diagnosing the problem and solving it in the most intelligent and cost effective way. For new roof replacements, the quality of their work and materials is apparent when you first view all the steps included in their detailed construction bid, but it's not just the attention to detail, but how they deliver on those details that sets them apart from other companies. For example, this year they did a complete roof replacement which included replacement of 100 lineal feet of fascia boards. We expected with that amount of board replacement to have a fair amount of stucco patching, but they removed the boards so cleanly that there was only one very small spot that had to be patched. They primed and painted all 6 sides of each newly installed board prior to installation to prevent future rot. The old underlayment was completely removed so that the roof diaphragm could be thoroughly inspected and all areas repaired before installing new double layers of underlayment. There's nothing better than feeling confident that the very bottom foundation layers of your new roof are sound and secure from the start. They use premium caulk and pay a lot of attention to make sure all the joints and gaps are caulked for a tight installation. When an unexpected windstorm developed during construction, Chris returned on a Sunday to ensure that the roof-in-progress was secure for the storm. Every project they've ever done has always been with the same attention to detail using the best materials and craftsmanship. Over the years they have established an excellent track record and we feel they are the best in town for roofing. There may be a wait to schedule with them, but they are definitely worth the wait.

Excellent work. Quickly to high standards - cleaned up quickly and nicely. Found one small issue after installation - and, to their credit, it was fixed IMMEDIATELY. Would definitely use them again and would recommend them. Note, in addition to high quality work, their pricing was accurate (from early estimate) and VERY REASONABLE.

I think this is my 3rd review for the same job, but I keep thinking of more positive things to share about Chris and Weathermaster. We originally had a leak in one part of the roof. Chris didn't think the entire roof needed replacing at this time, but since we were also going to have solar installed by another provider (GC Electric Solar), we went forward with the whole roof. Chris's bid was the most affordable for the same product- Owens Corning Duration Cool shingles; while I loved the other options, I chose Night Sky color to best blend with solar panels. It has a layer of Titanium UDL 30 underlayment as well as all the new flashing, 4 new turbine vents etc. This shingle reflects heat away from the attic, reducing the amount of heat transferred into the home. This category of Cool shingle comes in 10 attractive colors. Chris brought a sample board for me to see selections. (The solar guys really wanted to do the roof too but they could not come close to Chris's bid for the *same product*. I'm glad we kept the two projects separate.) The work was completed quickly and my husband and I were so impressed by the hard working crew. They did not mess around, but got the job done. The finish was broom clean and debris hauled away. We did discover the gas hot water heater vent pipe had been knocked off its proper position on top of the heater from its manipulation during reroofing. One call and Chris came pronto, fixing it himself that evening. Chris itemized the invoice as we requested, showing costs for the section of roof which would be under the solar panels, and the rest of the roof. Our accountant advised we could include that portion supporting the panels in factoring the solar tax credit (26% in Jan. 2020) The panels weren't installed until February as the demand was high. It looks great and we are very happy we made this investment in our home. Chris and his Weathermaster team did a quality job on my single-story lift and reset concrete tile roof (lift and move tile, strip old paper, reset nails into OSB, repaper with double ply 40lb SBS UDL, replace all flashings, adding ventilation, etc, and reset tile with proper headlap). His work was inspected and permitted by the City of Poway. His team was meticulous in quality, on-time, on-schedule, reliable in communication, and absolute experts of their craft. I am an engineer and expect everything to be done by the book and at the highest stds of quality, and Chris and Weathermaster didn't disappoint. I would highly endorse Chris and recommend his service (and in fact I already have...to a neighbor of mine).

Overall it went well. He immediately came to give me a quote for the job. Due to the pandemic I had to call him again to get started before my grant was due and he was very responsive to come at an earlier date. The workers were polite and professional. The workers always cleaned up after themselves.

Chris and his guys removed 5000 sq ft of mossy concrete tile from our roof in Ramona and recovered it with new shingles in just one week's time. He did exactly what he said he would, answered emails promptly, cleaned up afterwards, and we couldn't be happier with our new roof. His bid was better than we expected and included items that would have been optional from another contractor. The job also included a small solar array and Chris arranged for a solar guy to come out and do that part of the job. Chris is good people. Give him a try.

We can’t say enough good things about Chris Wilder and his crew at Weathermaster Roofing! From the very beginning at the bid appointment, Chris was informative, honest and genuine. 3 bids later, my gut was telling me his company was the one, but I had my husband talk to him too, just to be sure we agreed. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results. An absolutely outstanding job on our complete roof demo and re-roof. We also had a lot of wood rot in the overhead trellis area due to weather. Chris suggested metal caps to protect the new beams. What a smart idea! Chris and his crew were very careful with our animals safety during demo and clean up. They were all very hard workers and meticulously painted all the new wood and metal caps. We would highly recommend Weathermaster Roofing!

The coordination process was very easy and professional. The team arrived on time daily and were very friendly and kept me up to date during the entire process. Each day the team cleaned up before they left my house and ensured any materials were stored out of the way. The roof came out great and I would highly recommend them!

The whole process was so smooth and well organized, had great communication and contact with Chris through the installation, the timeline was just as promised and the work was done so professionally and excellent! We are so happy we chose Chris and Weathermaster to have a new roof installed and would recommend him to anyone who is thinking of having a new roof installed or roof repairs. Our roof looks amazing!

We had worked with other roofing contractors before. Chris and his Weathermaster team are OUTSTANDING. Chris worked with the solar company, electricians and plumbers in preparing the roof for solar panel installtion. Chris needed schedule his work to accommodate the other contractors. I asked Chris to install roofing on two new structures. His sent his team that day to start the install. Highly recommend Chris and his Weathermaster team!

Chris was professional from start to finish. The estimate was timely and accurate. He managed to complete the job a day early between storms in spite of the city deciding to work on the streets near my house. He coordinated the gutter replacement with another vendor which made it much easier for me. All charges were transparent. Clean up was excellent as well. Chris Wilder at Weathermaster was extremely professional, as were his workers, and his roofing work is excellent. He performed the work when he said he would, and everything was cleaned up well after the installation. In all my communications with him during the project, through phone and email, he always gave me clear information and details. More than a year after the installation -- after a particularly heavy rain -- I discovered a leak in a bedroom and contacted him, and he immediately sent someone out the NEXT DAY. It turned out it was the solar company who caused the leak when they installed the panels and NOT Weathermaster's fault at all. Chris coordinated with the solar company to have them temporarily remove the panels while his workers repaired the damage that the solar company had caused. I look forward to having Chris and Weathermaster replace the second half of my roof in about another 5 years or so.

They did an excellent job. It rained recently and I did not have a leak this time. Their price was much better than the other quotes I got and I would definitely hire them again.

This is a great company and our experience with them was excellent. Competitive pricing, quality work, conscientious employees, on time and professional. Our experience with Chris and this company on a scale of 1 to 10 was 12. I will be hiring him again for additional work on another property.

Two workers arrived at the scheduled time. They were very professional and worked on one of the hottest days of the week. They were very precise and careful in deciding where to install the turbine vents. The install took about an hour and a half. Cost was $375 - which I think was very appropriate for the work they had to do. Additionally, the owner educated me regarding some of the other older vent systems that were installed on other locations on the roof. They did a nice job cleaning up after they were done. I highly recommend this business because the workers were so conscientious and honest.
