SPRING VIEW WINDOWS & DOORS

we were very happy with the price. unfortunately, we had some problems afterwards that were never addressed. we saw john springer, the owner, for the initial bid and signing of the contract and he came briefly in the midst of the installation process but was not present for final inspection. we were directed to the subcontractor for the problems we were having afterwards (including one of the windows leaking) but unfortunately, this person never followed through. he made at least 3-4 appointments to come by but never did, and we had arranged our schedules so that someone would be home during these times. would have given a higher rating had it need not been for this utter lack of professionalism and unfortunately, we have not recommended them despite many inquiries from our neighbors.

They did a good job, their price was right, they finished the work on time and I was pleased with their work. Their price was in the middle of all the estimates that I got. I am very happy with the windows.

It was excellent. The job was done in a very timely manner and it was done well. The pricing was also reasonable and I would recommend them to anyone.

They did everything perfect. The guy who owns the company is John. They are a family owned business that has been around for quite a long time. They quoted me a price and gave me different options, because they know it s expensive. It was a great experience all the way around.

10/2/11  UPDATE

I had a few minor problems with the windows in my sun-room--just weather stripping (about 5 or 6 inches) that needed to be replaced and one place where the inside fascia on the frame was coming unglued.  I tried for days to get a call back from SpringView to no avail.  They're still listed in the phone book and on the internet...as it turns out,  this is another great company that has been driven out of business.  

I am so sorry to see the demise of yet another family owned business.  Very sad. 

However, the window manufacturer, Anlin, did send someone out to fix the weatherstripping problem. 

They came a little late but stayed late to finish.

The installation crew was on time, courteous, explained what they were doing, took pains to keep debris to a minimum, and did almost no damage to the wood framing while making difficult cuts of the old aluminum frames. The very minor damage was easily repaired.

From the beginning, Spring View was our #1 choice because their Sales Mgr, Jim Koegen set the stage. He was a superior representative for the company. He is forthright, knowledgeable and did not pressure us. He had an answer for every question. His presentation to us was more like an educational experience. After the flawless installation phase, the followup was excellent too. As a matter of fact, their supervisor found a minor blemish in two of the windows on a routine follow up visit. He insisted they should be replaced. Ditto a damaged screen. Spring View has been thorough, professional and completely customer oriented and we are recommending them to everyone. As a matter of fact, we will be replacing a sliding door later this year and will enjoy the benefits of price we have already negotiated. This was the very best experience we have had in the past year and a half of our home renovation. The windows have made a huge difference in the comfort of our house. Outstanding!
