PAYLESS TREE SERVICE

Smoothly. We agreed on a price about ten days before the service. The crew arrived early in the morning of the agreed-upon date. Two worked from above, in our yard, and two below, in the neighbors' yard. They used a chipper to pulverize the branches. They cleaned up after themselves and finished the work in about two hours.

Excellent. Allan made an effort to understand all the ways I wanted things done when he came out for the estimate. He also made some suggestions as to the best way to do the job. His estimate was very good. The two workers were efficient and made a real effort to please me with the trimming. They even ground up some extra brush that I had on the property.

They cleaned after they left decently. It was not bad. I wasn’t very happy with the trimming. They didn’t do very professionally job in trimming.

Great customer service orientation and very nice job on the trees.

They are offering a 30% discount through 2015! Took 1 hour to cut down and clean area. Great customer service. Al, the rep was very knowledgable of the situation and did exactly as he described. I highly recommend this company. 

Very active. Full crew showed up with lots of machinery. They definitely showed that they were mission focused. Didn't realize how much work was involved in removal of trees. They had additional task that my large palms were on a steep hill with a underground pool below. I was impressed in their hard labor and being able to see that they enjoyed their job. Definitely not undermanned. It was definitely worth my money and I would highly recommend them

They did a good job and I would definitely use them again in the future and I would as well recommend them to other people.

.I arranged for an estimate for the work, the gentleman arrived at the specified time surveyed the work area, the work to be performed  and provided the estimate of time and cost. He met all his commitments. I will probably call on him later in the year for an estimate to either shape or remove the ficus.

In late February, 2015, my brother and I met with Alan to get an estimate for tree and stump removal. The trees included 2 large, 45 year old fichus trees with sprawling  above ground roots and 2 pepper trees. Based upon Alan's recommendation, we also included a camphor tree in order to get to all of the fichus roots. After checking the access to the front and back yards, Alan gave us an on-the-spot estimate which was substantially less than the other estimates from other tree services.  After receiving one last written quote, we called to accept Alan's bid and schedule the work. The earliest date his crew was available to do the work was 3/16/15 and 2 days were set aside to complete the work.

On 3/16, Alan and his crew of six arrived promptly at 7:45 AM.. Within 5 minutes, the "show" had begun. The branches of the trees were quickly and expertly cut, then safely dropped to the ground. The downed branches were then gathered quickly and fed to the chipper which devoured them. Within three hours, the trees were down to stumps. Even before the branch cleanup was done, Alan had begun the stump grinding which was an impressive process.  By 4:00 PM, the contracted work was done along with cutting down 2 small bushes at no extra cost.

My wife and I were thoroughly impressed by how well the crew worked together in getting such an enormous task done in such a short time, around 8 hours. The tree trimmers were experts at knowing the order in which to cut the branches while leaving other branches to support themselves. At times, ropes were used to keep larger branches from damaging neighboring property.  The ground crew were busily hauling the enormous volume of tree to the chipper and dissecting the larger trunk pieces into more manageable pieces with their chainsaws. All the crew worked hard at a steady and safe pace. I definitely agree with Alan's comment that his crew works together like a well oiled machine.

I heartily recommend Payless to anyone who needs tress and stumps removed. Alan and his crew are a pleasure to do business with.

Very large melaleuca tree (80+ feet tall with 3'-4' diameter trunk) needed to be removed for both aesthetic and safety reasons. Quote provided within days and appointment scheduled within a week or so. Procedure was fully explained and all questions and concerns addressed. Service provided as promised, including grinding down stump. As an afterthought while crew was there, I asked for quote to remove three smaller trees. Not only was quote provided on the spot, but they offered to do removal while still there. It was all a process I had been dreading that turned out to be quite painless. Very pleasant, competent and professional.

Alan and his crew arrived promptly at 7:30am. First, they tackled the removal of a 60' Italian stone pine from our front yard. Rogelio worked quickly and efficiently, taking great care to avoid damaging the house or surrounding landscaping as he took the tree down, branch by branch. After the tree was down, Dan ground the stump below grade and the other crew members removed all debris. Finally, Rogelio trimmed four trees in our back yard, again taking great care to avoid damaging surrounding trees and landscaping. He did a masterful job thinning and shaping the trees, including a 70' pecan tree. They wrapped up the job 7 1/2 hours later and left the entire work site in pristine condition.
This was our first experience using Payless Tree Service but it will definitely not be our last. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a tree service company.

What fabulous work! Alan showed up with his crew at the exact time as expected. Payless was one of four estimates I got and Alan was the only one to suggest one of the eucalyptus be removed which made perfect sense when he said it but I had not thought of it and neither did the other 3.  Amazing crew that knew exactly what they were doing as this was not a typical trim and lace. The trees were grossly oversized and had not been cut in years. They were a huge accident just waiting to happen.  I already have two neighbors so impressed they will be contacting him soon as well.

It turned out exactly as we agreed and was excellent service.

The crew arrived on time and started working right away. There was a person in the tree to cut limbs, a person on the ground to haul the limbs to the chipper/truck, and the owner supervised. My tree had not been trimmed in about 8 years, so it was overgrown. In a few hours they had it trimmed and it looked like a tree again. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the entire crew. Alan, the owner, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The price was great!  Quotes from other companies were $700 - $800.  I will definately use Payless Tree Service again next year.

They were prompt, clean, polite  and efficient during each visit.  They removed stumps in the planter bed and mulched all debris. They removed all eucalyptus debris and cleaned the entire area.  They were the most cost effective of the bids I received. We will use them again. Very pleased.

The tree was becoming a problem. It was a ficus tree that was growing roots under my neighbor's driveway. The guys who came out to remove it were absolutely incredible. They removed the tree and ground the stump in only about twenty five minutes! I was so impressed. The price was extremely reasonable. I have a sprinkler system that I worried about them messing with. Everything is fine though!

They did an amazing job!  It was estimated to take a day and a half to do all the work.  They arrived right at 8 am and finished the job in one day.  The owner of the company was there all day watching over the project.  The pines were on very steep slopes and close to the house.  They did an amazing job taking down the pines and a great job cleaning everything up.  We wanted to keep the wood to give to a friend and they did a great job stacking the wood and cutting it into pieces that would be easy for our friend to pick up in a truck.  They also did a great job in cleaning everything up, especially all the sawdust from cutting the trees down. The price was very reasonable also.  We priced three other companies and they were actually one of the cheaper ones.  I will definitely use them again.

They have done an absolutely excellent job. They are wonderful. They are really nice people to work with. I have recommended them to other people and they have all been pleased as well. Their prices are lower than anyone else that I could find.
