Initially everything was fine. Gene, the owner of Par Asphalt, came to my business in a reasonable amount of time and was quick to provide a reasonable quote.
Unfortunately, the work was very substandard. The contract included some asphalt patches in some areas to help with drainage and fixes to "alligatoring", where the asphalt cracks and creates little valleys. The asphalt patch was successful in maybe 20% of the area, but the remaining patches either wore away within a few weeks or did not remotely solve the problem. Drainage is actually worse in some areas than it was before the work, and basically nothing was done about the alligatoring.
After the work was done, I made numerous attempts to reach Gene to inquire about some fixes. I let him know that he had an opportunity to fix the situation, and I did not expect perfection, but otherwise I would post a review based on the work as it stands. I was completely ignored.
I will never use this company again and I recommend that you do not either.

First of all Gene, the owner of Par Asphalt not only listens but provides wonderful suggestions as to how to improve your driveway. He was the only asphalt company, we had three give proposals, who suggested an asphalt border.  His suggestion of installing a border has really improved the looks of our new landscaped yard.  His price was fantastic, and the quality of his workmanship even better.
They were to start at 7:30am on the 30th and that is when they arrived.  They are a family run business with both a son, daughter, and close friend being the crew, and Gene the father, supervising.  The work was done carefully and well.  They prepped the pavers that adjoin the circular driveway so that our pavers would not get asphalt on them.  They were careful of our yard.  They worked efficiently and with care. I had to call Gene after they sealed the driveway as our irrigation system was being inspected that afternoon and I did not know if it was ok to have water on the sealed driveway. Gene called back within minutes letting me know it was fine.  
They came back the next day, again exactly when they said they would be here, and sealed the driveway.  Our driveway looks great. It was a pleasure doing business with such a professional company that is so customer service oriented.
Yes, we would use them again. In fact, Gene said they will send us a notice in 3 years to remind us to get our driveway sealed again. You can bet we will use Par Asphalt to do our next sealcoat.

They did a great job! From the time they answered the phone to the time they finished was 4 days! The quote was for $2000 but they gave me a 10% discount for having a flier! They were on time and quickly got their job done!!! Very reliable and excellent work. They even made a little asphalt ramp off the driveway for me to offload hay! I would highly recommend this American small business if you want a job well done.
