Great! We have a 120 year old house with an old floor heater which occasionally has problems, including wires that come loose and having the pilot blown out in storms. Fire & Ice has become our go to problem solver. Especially Josh, who saves us from freezing when it goes out and leaves these old senior citizens warm and toasty!! Thanks, Josh!!

Josh arrived on time. I explained the situation and he got right to work. I had purchased a new trap beforehand, so he installed that and the pump and safety switch he brought with him per my conversation with their scheduler. Everything went smoothly. Best experience I've had with a service provider in a while. Total cost was less than half ($425 vs $955) that I was quoted by ASI.

We got three different bids and they were the best.  They were good; professional.  They just did what they said, they were responsive.  They had to work with us - it was a condo so we had to work with the association; we had certain access times to the roof and certain days and times.  They were accommodating and they understood.

I was very satisfied with the work that was performed. I thought my heating unit needed replaced, but they were honest with me,and were able to repair it. Their honesty was really appreciated, because they saved me a lot of money. I will use them again.

I got an estimate from Fire and Ice a few months ago to repair our central A/C unit.  We have had a musty odor coming out of the a/c after running it continuously for a few days.  Max came out to give us the estimate and he was great.  He said we did not yet need to replace our A/C unit, that cleaning it might help get rid of the odoor for a while.  He worked up pricing on a few different options, from cleaning the unit to replacing it.  I'd like to add that I received estimates from about 8 other companies and Fire & Ice was the first company that said we did not need to replace the a/c unit - everyone else said we needed a new unit.  I felt that he was very honest.  We finally got the repair done last week.  Called them on a Thursday afternoon and they were able to send someone out the next day.  Dan did the repair.  They did show up a little later (about 40 minutes) than the window they told me, but that's not a big deal to me because they did such a great job, were reasonably priced and honest.  (he did call when he was on his way).  He was very detail-oriented and tidy in the work he did and explained what he was doing.  One week later and we've been running our a/c 24/7 with no musty odor!  I'm hoping what they did lasts for a while.  Will definitely use them again!

They did a really good job. They seemed very caring and willing to do the best job possible. They worked with us as far as scheduling and went out of their way to make sure we could get the energy rebates on our taxes as well as ones that they sent in themselves. I would recommend them to others.

The work was finished when promised. The technicians stayed late the first day so they could get the testing completed the next day as promised. Everything was installed as promised and works great.

The installers(Nick and Chris) showed up on schedule and worked for about one and a half days to complete the outside plus attic install. Then Andy came out and did the coolant charging and other final steps in the process. Max and Andy worked with the HERS inspector to complete the process for obtaining a final inspection and permit from the county. I was very pleased with the job done and follow up by the entire Fire and ice team.

The workers from Fire & Ice were very prompt in coming. They fixed the filter I was having problems with. They did a good job and it's working now. They came at the time the said. They were very quick and their pricing was reasonable.

Max came by and spent about an hour looking over what we had and recommended a larger system since the attic had been finished for an extra bedroom since the old A/C and furnace were installed and it was a bit undersized for the new space. He also recommended a larger return air vent since even for the existing system, the size of the vent was too small. He presented several options, one of which included the government rebate for the highest efficiency system. He didn't push the higher priced unit even though it would make them more money. He said the less expensive York unit was still an excellent system and given that A/C isn't required very often in our area, the higher priced system wouldn't really save that much more money on utility bills. Even with the government rebate, the highest efficiency system would have cost us more. He was very professional and not at all pushy. He also presented the fact that York was providing a $250 rebate on the lower end system and that Fire and Ice would give an additional discount for paying with cash or check. I was sold. They scheduled the install within a week. The 2 guys were here right on time and began removing the old system. They installed the entire system, including the new larger return air duct in one day. I know they ran into a few snags, but were able to remedy the problems quickly and still finished by 5PM. They were able to reuse the existing refrigerant lines from the old system at my request since they are buried behind the walls and it would be difficult to run new ones without them being seen. They tested them thoroughly for leaks beforehand to make sure they were adequate. The installation team was very professional and hard working. They left the place spotless, used drop cloths, and vacuumed up all debris before they left. They made sure I understood all operations of the system and showed me how to change the hepa filter. I am thrilled with this system. It is very quiet, both inside and outside. Our recent higher temperatures have allowed us to use the A/C more and it cools very quickly and quietly. Even the attic room is cool now whereas with the old system, it was always a bit too warm on hot days. There is so much more air flowing into all the rooms now, so Max knew exactly what he was talking about with the return air. I highly recommend this company for any A/C or heating system.

Excellent. A new 100,000 BTU furnace, 5 ton condenser, evaporator and thermostat installed a day early. Tenant reported they were quiet and polite and did a good job with removal and clean up. When I came to town, Max met me for an inspection and to give me the warranty and user instructions. I think I saved a lot of $$$ using Angie's List and Fire & Ice. With the rebate and Angie's discount, the total price was $4,525.

I have tenants in the house and live out of state, so dealt with Max Carroll over the phone and via email. He was very responsive and provided the best price for a quality system when compared to several other Angie's List companies. I had narrowed it down to Mauzy, Sherlock, and Fire and Ice. All seemed like very good companies, but the final decision came down to price. Fire and Ice was able to beat all of their prices (and came down from their initial estimate). Once the system was ordered, it took about a week for the equipment to arrive, and work was completed quickly. I'd highly recommend them to anyone. I went with a Comfortmaker model C8MPT075F14B1 dual stage furnace and model C4A342GKA100 model AC unit.

The representative measured the house and inspected all of the equipment and then we talked about a quote. He said that the upstairs was a 3 ton unit; the downstairs was 5 ton; the ducting upstairs would have to be replaced by another company (because of asbestos); and that the price would probably be about $12,000.00. I made several calls for the confirming quotes, including one to the owner of the company. Eventually they both arrived and the quotes were in the mid-$15,000s, depending upon equipment selected. We also got two other quotes from well-regarded firms on Angie's List. Both were less money, disputed the claim of asbestos material, and stated that the units were both 3 ton. That, combined with fact that F&I's quote for the downstairs unit was to replace what they claimed was a 5 ton unit with a 4 ton, I decided to confirm the information with Lennox, the manufacturer. The result? The unit, manufactured in March, 1973, was a 3 ton unit! The owner had the opportunity to look into the situation early on, and didn't, so he has to take responsibility for the multiple missteps. This was a bad experience, and I would never do business with Fire & Ice again. Incidentally, we did go ahead with another company listed on Angie's that's highly rated and had many, many recommendations. The experience was great: it was worth the time to check things out in advance.

After calling for ok, Technician arrived early and was pleasant and professional. I explained that it wasn't that the A/C wasn't cooling but that it seemed to take much longer to cool down just a couple of degrees than it had before so we thought that maybe it was low on refrigerant. He worked efficiently and used a drop cloth to put his ladder on when accessing the A/C unit in the attic from the upstairs bathroom. He washed off the condenser coils to see if that would help with the efficiency of the unit. The only variance was with the thermostat reading 1 to 2 degrees hotter than it actually was. The Tech explained that because of the age of the unit and because of the higher humidity, it may not be running as efficiently as it had when it was newer. I was glad to find out that there was nothing wrong with the equipment or the refrigerant pressure.

They actually answered at 10 PM in the evening when I thought I would just leave them a message, but they took down my information and said somebody would contact me in the morning. The technician, Dave, arrived 15 minutes early! He completed a thorough inspection, performed some maintenance tasks and successfully relocated my thermostat control. I was pleased with his speed and knowledge.

The estimate I received from this company was considerably less than another top company on the list for the same exact units. They also provided a discount for cash payment in addition to the coupon shown on Angie's List. The installers arrived at the scheduled time and started to work. It was extremely tight removing the old unit from a hallway ceiling inside my home and the new unit was a bit larger than the old one so they had to enlarge the opening in order to do the installation. But they replaced the old frame and grill with a new one that fit perfectly. It looks so good and I am very happy with the work. They are very professional and clean. They brought drop cloths to put down in the work area inside my home and then vacuumed up when they were finished. They also installed a new thermostat and showed me how to use it. The job was scheduled for one whole day, but they finished in 5 hours. I would definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE. MOST OTHER COMPANIES WANTED TO SELL ME A NEW UNIT. FIRE AND ICE WAS HONEST AND REPAIRED IT AT A FAIR PRICE. THEY CAME OUT WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. DAVID WAS THE MECHANIC AND WAS VERY FRIENDLY. APPROXIMATE COST INCLUDES LABOR, PART, AND SERVICE CALL.

This was a good experience. We were lucky to get anyone to come so quickly. The price was fair and we even were able to use an online coupon which they honored over the phone. We paid by credit card. Cost after 10% deduction was $117.99 instead of the estimated $131.10. This is the second time we have used Fire and Ice in 2 years and we would do so again. We recommend this company.

The work went very well. Estimator was delayed 30 minutes but called in advance. He was polite and worked up the estimate quickly so I could decide the same day. I called to schedule the work as soon as I had the estimate, and they were able to make it out within 4 business days. Installer arrived on time, was pleasant and efficient and completed the work as described in the estimate. Pricing was fair - it was similar to an estimate I had received months prior, and a third company I called wanted to be hired for a job of >$1000 without a providing an estimate. I would use Fire & Ice again - they acted professionally throughout the process.
