OC BBQ Cleaning & Repair LLC

4 years ago I paid Lou to fix and clean gas grill.  I paid him in full although he needed to finish the repair by ordering the electric starter and installing it.
He never came back or responded to emails and phone calls regarding the electric starter. 
(I have email and phone history to prove it).
Since it was 4 years ago I thought let's let by-gones be by-gones and contacted him again - I told him I'd appreciate an estimate for repairing and cleaning gas grill and that I had no hard feelings or issues from 4 years ago and would appreciate simply a fair and honest estimate and repair.
AGAIN, no response...Nothing...He ripped me off the first time and I wanted to give him a second chance.
He is NOT reliable or ethical and when Angie's List has providers like this it only discredits the site.

I have a 15+ year old BBQ Galore Turbo gas grill.  I love this BBQ and for what I have replaced in parts I could have probably bought a new one!
I search Angie's List for BBQ cleaning and repair.  This BBQ had never been professionally cleaned and I was having a problem with the gas regulator and the burners. I spoke with Lou (owner) told him of my issues with the BBQ and an appointment was scheduled the next day with Scott.  Scott arrived promptly and quickly got to work.  He was able to hook up a new gas line and valve (I provided) and thoroughly cleaned and polished the BBQ.  He worked nearly 2 1/2 hours consistently.  One of my grill stone grates had rotted off so he drilled in a screw that would hold the grate in place and above the burner.
My BBQ looks brand new!  It was the best $150 I have spent in a long time.  I would recommend Lou's company and expecially Scott without hesitation!

My BBQ looks fantastic. They arrived on time and did a fantastic job. Their prices are really great--especially in comparison to others I have called. They are honest and did not try to recommend any unnessary repairs. Highly recommend this provider if you want a clean grill.

Lou is amazing!  He returned my call immediately and showed up on time for the appointment.  He was very thorough and now the barbecue works and looks brand-new.  We have had it 4 years and never had it cleaned so it was in pretty rough shape.  Lou worked diligently and didn't stop until it was perfect.  I will use him every year from now on and highly recommend him!

Lou @ OC BBQ did an excellent job, bringing our BBQ island back to life. The unit is as good as new and running perfectly. He discovered a valve problem, which he had the parts with him and replaced for us as part of the service.

We have a Fire Magic built in BBQ that's 15 years old. Jay came out and worked on it for five hours and it looks like new. Very professional.

He showed up and did the work. I have been quite injured since a skydive crash so I couldn't do anything to clean it. He did very well.

This is an amendment to my earlier review.
Lou did a very good job while he was at our home. A burner did break while he was working on it, but I am fine with blaming that on an old and corroded burner. However, we did need to replace that one, plus two others that no longer reliably light. Lou took the model information and promised to call back with the cost/availability details. We heard nothing from him, so I called him. I called several times, leaving messages each time. We never heard another word from him. Zip.
So, if you are just looking for a good cleaning job, he is the guy. But if you are looking for any kind of follow-up at all, forget it.

Came out, cleaned our very dirty BBQ that had never been cleaned in years and didn't leave any mess in our yard. Perfect experience from start to finish. Just now writing the review now (belated) since I realized I forgot to do so. For our next maintenance cleaning I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Lou returned our call promptly, arrived on time and went beyond the call of duty. Our BBQ hasn't been that clean and hasn't cooked that good since we first bought it - 13 years ago.

When we discovered that we had a gas leak in our BBQ, we checked Angie's List
and found Lou. Even though he was in Orange County he said he could help
us. After examining the BBQ he discovered that we needed a part that he
didn't carry with him so he was helpful in finding the part and also
rescheduling another appointment before he had to leave on a trip, so we
wouldn't be without the BBQ for too long. Once we received the new
parts he repaired the BBQ, cleaned it and it's as good as new. We should
also note that Lou is a very nice guy, easy to work with and very
responsive.

Lew came out and did an assessment, gave us a quote and then came back on the day scheduled to do the cleaning in advance of a BBQ we were planning for the weekend. Had to wait a while for some of the parts to arrive, but Lew came back twice as promised to complete the work. Although he did take a deposit for parts, he did not try to collect full payment until he was completely finished. He left our unit looking brand new and working like a charm!

They did a nice job cleaning the barbeque. There were some scratches on the barbeque that were not there before and the ignition was broken during the cleaning however when they provided the service.

I have a great built in DCS BBQ that is about 10 years old and in desperate need of repair... I contacted another company to come out and give it a complete cleaning as well as repair lack of a flame coming through the burners... They did come out, did not clean it, temporarily got the flame to an adequate level, and gave me a list of all of the items that I needed to buy to make my bbq useable... over $1000. It worked less than 24 hours and went back to it's original state of inoperability.... I called them, and they told me that I would need to pay for another visit and a complete gas line rebuild.
I joined Angie's list and found OC BBQ. Lou answered my call on a Sunday, scheduled an appt that week, and was incredible... He was very professional, looked at my BBQ, and told me $190 and it will be good as new.... and man was he right... He fixed the grill, adjusted the amount of gas coming into the grill, and spent 2 hours cleaning... It is incredible... I cleaned my igniters (that the other company said I needed to replace) and the BBQ works and looks like it did the when I first got it...
