From the VERY start, we were greeted with a smile and courteous professional service! Actually, beginning with the first phone call into the business to make an appointment it was a pleasurable experience; which says a LOT because and quot;car troubleand quot; is never any fun! Once we arrived, the office staff was friendly, accommodating, informative and helpful. They listened carefully to the problems we were having, and gave a fair and honest estimate for the service to start.
Our truck was THOROUGHLY checked out, and never gave any indication of why it had stalled. Gearhart's willingly kept the truck for a couple of days, upon our request they also drove it around to see what it might do. They stayed in good contact with us, communicating the steps they were taking to solve the possible mechanical problem(s).
Ultimately, there was nothing found and only the service charge was charged and a friendly smile as the keys and truck were returned.
I would recommend EVERYONE utilize this garage if they have a need, as they are the most honest and fair and THOROUGH mechanics I have ever dealt with! They work/live by the and quot;Golden Ruleand quot; and as Believers answer to a higher authority than the and quot;BBBand quot;.

Excellent. We had been using another auto repair service in Lake Elsinore. Their service had become horrible resulting in us taking the car back three times to fix the original problem. One of these repairs was the power steering pump and hoses (replaced twice after using the wrong parts.).
We had several and quot;word of mouthand quot; referrals for Gearharts, so we took the Toyota Corolla there for diagnosis and repair. Wally said one of the hoses was too big and leaking and the second installed incorrectly and was pinched. He ordered new hoses from Toyota. He also diagnosed the rack and pinion problem too. He needed to keep the car several days as the parts order took several days. We picked up the repaired vehicle and have been very happy with the service. Most important the power steering is not leaking fluid and the car is safe.
About 3 weeks before the power steering repair,we had Gearhards replace the ignition switch in the car. Work was about $300, and is again excellent.
The staff is very helpful, expecially Lisa. As a woman, it is sometimes difficult to explain what I hear or see in car issues. She made me feel comfortable talking about the car problems and telling the mechanics what issues the car was experiencing. The company has been in business over 50 years and most the mechanics have 20+ years experience at the facility.

Everything went well - car was done on time, and all of the work was done well, so far as I can tell. The exhaust doesn't leak anymore, and the car stops straight and sure. The initial quote was much less that what was actually charged, but I didn't know that I would be doing the exhaust manifold when we started, and they thought that with only 106K miles that they could turn the rotors, instead of replacing them. Well, when he called me back about the new rotors, he also told me about the exhaust leak. I'd heard this before, but did do anything about it, because the car has recently passed emissions. Turns out that the manifold was cracked 2/3rds of the way around - I saw this when I went to go pick up the car. They were correct in insisting that this be replaced ASAP. I was a bit bummed that the estimate was revised for the work on the brake pads, when I agreed to the new rotors. I asked about negotiating a better price, and was turned down. I understand that they need to make a profit. I think what bummed me out the most, was that when I went to pick up the car, I saw they had a $50 offer from AAA, and originally, they were not going to offer it, because I didn't ask for it when I dropped the car off - I didn't know about it! I found this place thru Angie's List. They did wind up crediting my card $52. I certainly wouldn't say that I felt like I had gotten a great deal, but I will say, that the work was done well, on time, and reasonably within budget. I will probably go back the next time that I need service - but I won't forget to ask about AAA either!

It was done promptly, correctly and professionally. Had no up-sell attempts, of poof workmanship issues. Gearhart's is a small family-owned garage that has been around a long time. It has earned a solid well-deserved wide-spread reputation for excellent service and integrity. I have used them several different times on various vehicles over the last 25 years - and would not hesitate to do so again.

As usual it went smoothly. I've used Gearharts for about 5 years and have always been hapy with their work. I fell they're honest and their work is dependable.

I arrived a few minutes late for my appointment and was told no problem. The technician came immediately to pick up the keys and start the work on my vehicle. They have a small waiting room, which I have used many times, if you decide to wait for for your vehicle. They inspected my brakes, and tire tread in addition to the oil change at my request, and found I needed a new air filter, which was ordered and replaced on the same visit. Complete service took about an hour, and I was ready to go.

I called for an appointment and received one for the next day. I delivered my car at the scheduled time in the morning and picked it up mid-afternoon. They called me before they performed the work for my approval.
