 + -1 moreI did not hire DG Construction. First requested I send pictures of the jobs and when I did, heard nothing other than the "job is doable" After a week went by called and showed up to give me an estimate. For removing the 3 small posts which were nailed in and replaced with corbels he wanted to charge $1500.00. I purchased the corbels for $200 and it took 3 hours to remove the posts, bolt in the corbels and patch which I did the work so based on his quote, he was going to overcharge by $1,100.00. To remove 4 pairs of shutters and replace with new ones meant putting up a ladder, removing screws and screwing in the new ones. He wanted $1000.00 for about 2 hours worth of work. Typical contractor hourly rate is $55/hr so that meant he was planning on overcharging me by $880.00. Looked him up on yelp and found he doesn't always complete jobs.
Description of Work: 3 posts removed and replaced with Corbels, 4 sets of shutters removed and replaced with new one
