Tim Henson's Unique Lighting

Tim and his crew (Jay and AJ) were amazing. Tim responded to my inquiring right away and then sent his crew out the next day to install a very heavy and unique chandelier. Jay had to walk on wood planks over the staircase in order to install the fixture and the end result is magnificent! The service and install was so great I hired them back two weeks later to install new fixtures for the kitchen island and the office. They are very professional, timely, organized and adept in what they do. Over and beyond great service. They are the only electricians I will use in the future. So happy I found them! They deserve more than 5 stars!

Great. Talked to Trent on a Friday, he gave me a fair price and we scheduled an appt for Monday. Trent called a little bit later and we were able to move the appt up to Sat. Trent kept me updated on the appt until Ron arrived at 12:30. He ruled out both the outlet and the breaker which left the microwave as the source of the problem. We had already purchased on new one so Ron and I removed the old and installed the new. I say "we" but Ron did all the work and I held the microwave on occasion. Ron was great and we're back to using a microwave again. All works great.

It went extremely well, it was my first time using them so I was really apprehensive. They arrive on time, very professional, got straight to the point, quickly resolve the issue and they were very very reputable and no non-sense and don't play games with me. I was very pleased. They also did a good job, alerted me in advance and I want that. My experience with them was very pleasant. The price was very fair and reasonable. They were two other vendors before, the other one said they couldn't verify the problem but Tim Henson's was able to diagnosed and resolve it.

He replaced it quickly and recommended some new lighting options that would save me money. He was efficient and professional. I would higher him again for electrical items and lighting.

Awful experience. Head still spinning. "Did this really happen?" Requested (12/14) they come out to provide an evaluation and quote for install of pool light. $290 to come out and provide a quote? I took it on trust. Nothing written. Asked if the $290 could be applied to the cost of job. "Absolutely!" the on site rep said. Said they'd send me a quote for the job "soon." 5 days later, no quote/estimate. I call requesting the quote. Tim (only willing to talk with me once) very cocky and unprofessional guy. "I've done a thousand of these," he said. Next day he gives me the name of a concrete guy to remove concrete. Still no quote. Things not going well. I request a refund. He refuses. He could care less. Concrete guy calls 12/20, Greg Marano. Nice guy. Says he can came out to evaluate site after Christmas or first week of January. Never calls. Never comes out. Tim Henson's last two messages to me on same day (12/21): 6:57 a.m.: "This will be the last email sent you are now wasting my time I explained it very clearly that you get 1 hour of my time so that I can tell you why your pool light doesn't work you agreed upon it you paid me what's the problem I told you what you need to do to rectify the problem now stop the games you paid me we are done and I will be calling Greg to tell him not to go to your house I don't know why you don't get it do you work for free I don't......." 9:00 a.m.: My message to him: "If i don't receive a refund for your non-service, Good luck with the Better Business Bureau." 10:21 a.m. His last message to me: "I've been in business for 30 years and you're wasting my time people like you just don't get it sorry you're unhappy do what you think you need to do I don't work for free and I don't expect anybody else to this will be my last message done so done." Again, I can't believe the level of unprofessionalism and awful treatment of a possible customer who spent $290 for something simple (I thought): an estimate for the performance of a job. All of the above is true. Breathtaking in the level of disdain and indifference. This is a professional business in South OC? Someone should report this guy. BTW: Angie's List says "FREE QUOTES: YES". Not the case here!

The arrived early, which was great. Split my lights up as requested and installed my ceiling fan without any issues.

The installation went very well. The team did a fantastic job. This was not an easy bit of work. Our entry is 25' high, with limited floor space. This required the use of a scissors lift that fit through the front door and that had 9" of clearence with the spiral staircase and landing. The chandeliers both weighed in at roughly 40 pounds each; not a one man on an A-frame ladder kind of job. The new chandelier's LED bulbs required an improved, replacement dimmer switch, which the team added without extra charge. The team worked well together and were well prepared.

I had been looking for weeks for an electrical contractor who would do landscape lighting.   We had a fire in our garden from unlicensed work, with significant localized damage, that blew out the old transformer.  I found Tim online and called him.  He came right over the next day, walked the entire home with me, made  suggestions about security, which was my second concern.  While here, he noticed some of the "live wire" and capped it for me right then, during the walk through.   He offered a written estimate including a new transformer and rewiring (plus cleanup) of all the old garden mistakes.  The estimate was more than fair, for a complete job.  I had other estimates for piecemeal, so I knew he was not only within range but very knowledgeable.   I felt I could trust his work, and he had review on Home Advisors. 

He gave me prices on materials that I knew to be within reason.  Some I already knew and some I checked online;  he took minimal profit on material.  His labor was well worth his cost.

He arrived with his son and two workers promptly as he said he would, and within 6 hours had the job done and then some.   He took all of the old lights out and replaced them so there was an equal load on both transformers.   His understanding of lighting and placement was incomparable (we have had a lot of people work on our lights over the years).    He told me to call him after 8 when the lights came on, and I was blown away by how things looked.   It was a like a high end resort.   

He suggested other security measures in lighting and was quick to say that he was not trying to sell me anything, just informing me of some options.  Without a doubt, they were the most competent, most professional, and most knowledgeable of any company we have worked with over 20 years.
