Who is Sun Tamers Window Tinting? Sun Tamers Window Tinting has been in business for over 28 years. We specialize in cars, houses and commercial. We are licensed, bonded & insured contractors. We are expert installers of window film, retractable screens and a full line of window coverings. All of our films come with a lifetime warranty and glass breakage warranties backed by national manufactures. Our full line of Clear View retractable screens come with a limited lifetime warranty and are made in the U.S.A. Fabulous! Kawai did an excellent job of applying the tint and was very professional. Frank was also very professional and explained our different options when he came to give us a quote. We highly recommend this company!! Their customer service is superb.

Tint was applied to the back wall of windows in my family room and kitchen. The work was completed in a timely manner and at a fair price. I had received other referrals to this company from multiple neighbors and I was not disappointed. The owner Frank was professional and prompt. He assessed our project and gave me valuable advice and insight as to the proper materials to use for our particular needs and windows. The work was completed in a clean and competent manner by courteous technicians. All in all I was so pleased and felt so confident in Frank and the SunTamers crew that I ultimately asked there advice and ordered my window blinds and draperies my whole house from them. Great company to work with!

They did a great job on the window tinting. Smooth film, no bubbles, and the tint is just perfect. Not too much, but enough to reduce heat and glare from the sun. Great job!

They were good! They completed the tinting in about 1/2 a day. They were prompt and did what they said they were going to do. There were no surprise charges.

We were showing our home for sale and had a significant blemish on a window that had been tinted by a different company many years ago. The blemish was a large warped, peeling area right in the center of the window that was a distraction from the view beyond, so we needed quick repair. I called Sun Tamers and spoke to a representative (Mike). Talk about customer service!! Given our urgent need, arrangements were made to examine the issue that very day Mike said his manager would be in the vicinity and could evaluate the problem between appointments. We were stunned that the manager/owner made the repair himself during that evaluative visit! We couldn't believe the level of responsiveness and service and are extremely grateful. When we move to our new home, we will definitely use this company for our tinting needs.

"Hello member, Thank you for your business and input on the services we provided. Obviously very disappointed that we did not provide from start to finish the best experience. I always stress to my customers and my employees that we all have bad days, but what makes my company stand the test of time and keep my customers coming back is owning our mistakes and making things right. I know how hard people work for their money especially in Orange County. I do not want to be a company that takes advantage of people or their trust. I do recall the situation with your project, but did not realize your displeasure. Normally we do a 1 month follow up to make sure our clients are happy with our services. All this being said all I can do is apologize for any inconvenience we caused you and refund the money that was not discounted properly. Had I known about this sooner I would have taken care of right away. It was not until my office manager brought it to my attention today that I was made aware of this situation. I have worked in this community for over 20 years and anyone who knows me or my company knows I strive to be the best in what ever we do or the services we provide. I always do what is right and run a very honest business and would never jeopardize my reputation in my community. I am so sorry we fell short on this project for you and I hope you would give us a second chance as this was just a fluke. I am happy to speak to you at anytime. Thank you for your time and business. Quality of work seems to be good and staff is friendly. Problems were with scheduling and pricing. Here's what went down:
I called around Christmas and Frank answered. He admitted that he was in a Costco parking lot, which I don't mind so long as he can pay attention. I asked for a quote for window tinting and electric blue vinyl racing stripes on a Mini Cooper. Frank said $240 for the tint and $200 for the stripes. I mentioned that their website had a 20% off coupon as a holiday special. Frank said the discount could be applied to the tint, but not the stripes. Fine. I said what time can I come down on Saturday, and Frank said it would take a few hours because of the tint so be in by 9am.
My wife and I arrived just before 9am, and the guy at the counter said, "oh, we had you scheduled at 1pm. We have other jobs in front of you so the car won't be ready until closer to 4pm." Okay, kind of annoying, but we can get over it.
Then he says, "and here are the white stripes that we'll put on." Um, no, we said we wanted electric blue stripes. "Oh, well we'll have to order those so they won't be available for a week or more." More annoying because now the 3-4 hour job is going to take 2 days.
Then he writes us up and puts the price for the tint at $240. I mention the 20% discount, and he says that is 20% off. I tell him that's not what was discussed when I called, and he agrees he'll check with Frank. When we pick up the car, he says Frank confirmed that $240 was with the discount.
For $240, I could have gone to a number of places. In fact, I could have gone to a number of places and paid a lot less. This wasn't exactly a bait and switch, but the lack of integrity with their pricing is enough for me to try a competitor the next time I need tint, no matter how good Sun Tamers quality is.
