It's not easy because I have existing tile and hardwood to color and height match. Everything went much better than expected and I am delighted with the results. Fred and Miriam (she's in Mission Viejo) run a top of the line business. I can't begin to tell you how terrified I was to walk into the showroom in Mission Viejo--would they try the hard sell? Would they make me feel bad because I'm not a good decorator? Would they judge me because my old carpet was in such poor condition?

Miriam was an angel. And her husband Fred was extremely helpful too. All of their installers are highly experienced and professions.

My attitude about where I live changed overnight. I love it!

The type and quality of the carpet is very affordable, yet high quality too.

I have a 1000 sq.ft rental that needed the carpet removed from the two bedrooms, the living room, the dining room and three closets.  I also needed the old tile removed from the entryway and linoleum removed from the hallway closet.  I had purchased a ceramic tile with a "wood grain" appearance to be the new flooring throughout 770 sq ft. of the unit.  Fred's crew installed this tile over a 4 day period.  They did an outstanding job and also cleaned up the work area and left it better than when they had started.  T

The owner is a real pro.  He came and did the measuring himself.  His workmen were efficient and fast.  They had everything done much quickly than I thought they would which was surprising.  It was expensive but I got what I paid for.  Although, it’s been 12 years ago, he’s still in business.

The owner, Fred Kashani, is the kind of person I would like to do business with every day.  He is personable, honest , thorough and does exactly what he promises.  We went to several carpet stores and asked a lot of questions.  But Fred is so straightforward that we were confident that everything he told us was true right from the beginning.  He ordered samples of different kinds of carpets to be sent to us so we would be sure that we were choosing the right carpet.  Fred came to our home and measured everything himself--he also had the installer, Francisco Medina, come to our home and explain how the installation would work.
The installation crew: Francisco, his brother and nephew are first class, as well.  We had talked to many neighbors and friends about their satisfaction with other carpet companies.  Several people told us that the installation crew was crucial because of the way they cut and installed the carpet.  All of Francisco's crew worked extremely hard, cleaned everything up completely each day, and they were completely professional.  We could see how much they cared about the quality of their work.

Fred was very helpful and knowledgeable during the selection process.  Prices were certainly competitive, and I encountered no unexpected or unfair charges.
The workmanship for installing the hardwood flooring, carpeting, and ceramic tile was consistently of high quality.  The project was completed one day ahead of schedule.
Communications were excellent.  Fred gave me his personal cell phone number and kept me informed during all stages of the project.

The quality and craftsmanship of the finished project was fantastic!  This was a rather expensive project and investment for me, so I am very pleased with the outcome. The installation guys (Manuel and co.) were incredibly hard working - they arrived at 8am and left close to 8pm each day.  Additionally, I had them make a few adjustments along the way (i.e. one piece of wood in my closet looked grossly out of place, so they replaced it with another piece at my request) - very accommodating, which lends to even higher customer satisfaction.  Additionally, the guys cleaned up pretty well after themselves. The quality of their work was fantastic, as well - couldn't be more pleased!
However, I did mark Fred down slighly for responsiveness (communication).  Apparently, the final pieces to complete the stairs had not come in and Fred failed to advise me of this fact in advance.  So, after arriving home noticing that the installers had cleaned, packed and left, I was left wondering why eight stairs were unfinished - I had to call Fred to find out, when I would have expected him to let me know proactively.  I had to follow up a few times over the course of a week to see when the pieces would arrive and when the project would be finished - again, I would have expected updates directly from Fred rather than myself doing the follow-up.  However, Fred worked very hard to get the final pieces then prioritized finishing my project on the same day that the final components arrived.  Fred seems to be very busy (a good thing) so I am writing this only because I was surprised by this hiccup in the project; however, Fred acknowledged this miss in communication, so I appreciated that.  Otherwise, Fred was extremely pleasant and responsive in all of my interactions with him.
Overall, despite the communication mishap, I would highly recommend use of First Choice - beautiful finished project at a very competitive price!!

Fred and his team were great from the first time we stepped in the store until the installation was complete. He assisted us in selecting the right material and we never felt any pressure to buy. In addition, the teams he used to install the material were top notch. They worked extremely efficiently and completed the job quickly and with great results. I would highly recommend Fred and first choice flooring.

We basically ended up settling with him because he wouldn't do the work. He's not professional. The people that he had are not professional. He does everything on subcontractor, as a subcontractor. He's a general contractor and he hires all these people that are not, on my opinion, are not qualified to do the work. They didn't do our kitchen granite correctly. It's still not right but we have to live with it. The plumbing guy put in the valve in the shower too long so now we have to build it out a little bit so it looks like crap. And our bath, because I didn't wanna spend another $500.00 to get the valve move back. His guys wouldn't come in. It was a total disaster. It's what it was, from the day they started 'til the day we finally kicked them out. It was a total disaster. I can't really talk about this carpet and this flooring, I'm just talking about all the other work we didn't allow him to do 'cause originally, we had contracted him to do our floors and do the carpet but after he did such a poor job on the kitchen and in the bathrooms, we totally refused to do with him then we had to get an Attorney to settle with him 'cause he's trying to sue us. But, we finally just settle on a number, pay him and block and he walked away, and that was it. So, when I'd recommend him, absolutely no way. He was competitive on price.

After the measuring was completed we made an appointment to do the installation the next week. The crew arrived on time, were very friendly and polite. After a quick coffee klatch that we had provided, the crew (5 or 6 of them) then went to work and they did not stop. The installation was supposed to take 3 days, they essentially completed it in 1 one day. A couple of different installers or supervisors stopped in during the day to check on the progress and quality. At one point I think we had up to 10 crew on the project. A plumber who was supposed to come at the end of the day to reinstall the toilet never showed up, so Fred had another crew who knew how to do that come out and take care of it. We were not left hanging with any loose ends from the installation. I truly can't recommend this company highly enough. If you ever need new flooring go with this company. They beat the big box hardware store prices and their workmanship is fantastic.

The process went smoothly, on time and as expected. Workmanship was excellent and professional. Prices were reasonable.
We were extremely pleased with the work and appearance of the finished job. Referrals were also given by First Choice for plumbing and window coverings, both of which were excellent and fairly priced. We have used First Choice several times in the past and will continue with them for all our home improvement needs. Fred Kashani is an amazing resource person with an excellent network of referrals for almost everything needed for home improvement and repair.

Owner Fred Kashani was very prompt in taking the measurements and providing estimate.  He was also easy to work with as far as scheduling the job on the dates that I needed.  His staff was very professsional, finished the job in the estimated amount of time and on budget.  Would definitely recommend their services.

Amazing. Armin gave us the quote and Mike showed up with 5 other guys and installed the granite.  They did a great job.  It looks amazing.   From start to finish they did what they said we would we do.  Thanks so much.   I would highly recommend them.
