Faulty product or craftsmanship developed cracks in rwo slabs. No follow up service, ignored calls, text to fix, stop cracks. 4 months have passed so far. No response.

At first it went well, then things slowed down considerably with people showing up for a couple of hours or sometimes not at all. The job took twice as long as estimated. The floors were good. Orange peel had to be redone, baseboards were fit poorly, Jerry bought a fan/light combo which needed a new switch which wasn’t included. After payment we noticed that the caulking in the shower was cracking a lot and Jerry promised to fix it but never did.

Jerry promptly contacted me and came to give us estimate very quickly. His pricing was also very competitive and decided to hire at the spot (we previously had quotes from several companies). He was always responsive to my inquiries via text and finished products look great, we would definitely recommend his services.

Small job and most people I contacted did not want to do the job. Jerry Nalbandian crew did a great job. Glad to recommend this business!

Horrible service!!!! I had Stone expo cut and install my quartz countertop and it turned out REALLY BAD! Jerry is very rude and doesn’t call you back. He will only text with you and he takes forever to get back to you, or he just simply won’t text you back at all. I went with Stone expo because they were the cheapest by square foot and I learned that you get what you pay for with this company. He says he guarantees his work, but once he gets his money, he’s gone. I also purchased a sink through them and it’s rusting all over the place. I talked to Jerry about it and he said it’s not his problem. Don’t be another victim of Stone Expo!!! This company needs to be turned into the better business bureu and shut down for ripping people off and lying.

I was in the process of selling my condo and wanted to remodel it before I did. Things started out fine and Jerry (the owner) seemed like a rather trustworthy person, so I gave him a shot with a $15k project to remodel my home. Jerry (at first) seemed rather committed and considerate, and made an effort to accommodate my tight time schedule. Originally, he stated that it would take about 2 weeks before he would be able to send his teams to upgrade my home. He was kind enough to send out the first of his crews about a week sooner. His first crew took care of the counters in the kitchen and bathroom. I felt like they were a "wrecking ball" crew as they came in and tore my counters out. After they had tore off the dry wall where the old backslash was, I was really surprised to see they didn't even bother patching any of the holes they had made (these ware considerable holes the length of the backslash). They simply covered the torn holes with the new backslash, so the stone is literally being held in place (with no backing drywall to support it) with a thin layer of sealant where the stone meets the counter. I later found out these guys don't do dry walls whatsoever, so whatever damage they do... you're on your own, including the damage they cause to my walls when they move their materials around (i.e.: wall damage near the stairs in 2 places when they brought up the counter stones). I also made a comment to Jerry that the counter they delivered didn't seem like the same color I saw at their showroom. I figured it was just different lighting situation or something so I didn't pay too much attention to it... I should have. Jerry, for his part... didn't say anything. What a surprise. The next crew to arrive was their tiling guys for the fireplace and re-tiling of the shower. Again... these guys love to tear things up, and are very efficient at it... but can't say much for the collateral damage they cause due to lack of preparation and precautions. I told them to be careful around the existing floor tiles, bathtub and surrounding fixtures. By the time they cleaned out the rubble in the bathroom, they had left a trail of knicks, cracks and scratches everywhere. C'mon guys... would it have caused a great deal of delay to take a little precaution and properly cover the work areas?! The fireplace refacing came out ok, so not much to complain about, except that attention to detail is not their forte. You can definitely see unevenness and inconsistencies on how they cut the stone and cemented them on. The tile work in the shower was much worse. To begin with, they had left an inexperienced guy to do the mosaic tiling in the shower. I kept pointing out what was wrong and what needed to be fixed, but the guy they had left to do the work could not speak a word of english, so attempting to communicate with him was frustrating enough without him talking back and arguing that either he didn't know what to fix or trying to gesture everything was ok. Tile spacers were not being used so the grout lines have inconsistent spacing and pieces were being set crooked. Levels were not being properly used as the shower walls showed a slight curvature and were not plum. Thinset was being mixed too dry and not enough applied onto the tiles so pieces would initially fall off once it was dry. Too much and uneven pressure was being applied against the mosaic tiles resulting in broken pieces being left in place to cure. There was no "supervisor" around to quality check any work before they called it done and left. I had called and texted Jerry several times and all of a sudden he was quite difficult to get a hold of. Eventually, he said he would send out Juan (his field supervisor I take it) to check on the work. He did show up once but he was originally supposed to have shown up the day before. Juan stated he would return at the end of the day to confirm the work was done properly... he was a no show. I got fed up and gave up complaining since I was not getting any follow through or follow up from Jerry. Jerry had promised that the plumber would show up on that Saturday to install the new shower valve... so I stayed home and waited... and waited... and waited... after about a half dozen calls and texts to Jerry, he finally texted back sometime in the evening saying his phone got locked and he couldn't check his messages... then said the plumber would show up on Monday instead... no other explanation or apologies. Wasted the entire day waiting. Once the plumber came by on that Monday, he said he would return when the tiling work was done to complete the installation of the fixtures. He never showed up. I ended up fixing myself all the side damage they created. Jerry kinda disappears after he gets paid... hard to get a hold of him. BTW, they installed the wrong counter (which he obviously doesn't admit to) and pieces of grout falls off the tiles when I shower. You decide.

We visiedt the Stone Expo store  and met with Jerry. He offer some good ideas in upgrading the tile in the entry hallway, and Kitchen / media room. Jerry brought samples to our house in the following week, and provided an estimate. He encouraged us to look at other stone and tile samples, and were impressed with his knowledge and experience. We were concerned about some of the previous Stone Expo  reviews, but found Jerry's feedback to be valuable  based on his  extensive experience and portfolio book.

We spent time viewing other stone and tile options, and finalized our selection after visiting the stone yards in Southern California. We were excited about our choices, and Jerry's bid was very competitive. We had a limited time window to perform the work, Jerry committed and started the project on-time. He was onsite daily and for all critical decisions, and his crew were experienced stone setters, arriving on time and working tirelessly.  The project was finished on time and Jerry's wood craftsmen did a excellent job matching the transitions to our existing wood floor. They did a great job in cleaning up and moving all the furniture back in place.

We will be using Jerry for our remodel  work in the upstairs bathrooms.

We recommend you proceed with caution if you want to work with Stone Expo. They did fabricate a nice countertop, and did make the corrections when the island had major imperfections. However their fix required that they remove the existing island piece to create the new one. Given that I was unhappy with their service, I had no confidence it would be done to our satisfaction. Gladly, it was. Jerry is a nice guy. We'd read bad reviews about Stone Expo but were impressed with Jerry enough to give him a try. His price was good and he was giving us a deal on the laundry room remnant counter top and tile floor. His team however, pretty much suck. The counter top installers took no pride in their work. They were sloppy and we had to keep on them to fix or complete things. They disappeared for hours and we had no idea when or if they were going to return. The communication was awful. We were never explained the expectations for the process. Our laundry room floor is about 6 ft x 6 ft. Jerry said he was giving us the tile because it was left over from another job, all we had to pay for was installation. He wanted to install on a Friday and I'd voiced my concern to Jerry that I needed to use my laundry room over the weekend. He assured me they would be done in time for me to have use of the room. That is not what happened. They began the floor installation and ran out of tile. Needless to say, we were completely annoyed. Their guys left to go fine more tile and we had no idea where they were, if or when they were coming back to finish. They told me they could not find any tile because their warehouse was closed until Monday. If Jerry is an owner, I didn't understand why he couldn't or wouldn't open up his own company warehouse to finish my job. Overall we are happy with our countertops and flooring. But given what we had to endure to get it, I think I'd rather go somewhere else.

They do beautiful work, and their pricing is within the range of reasonable.  But they are the most non-punctual, unreliable -- and, frankly, you cannot rely on the veracity of what they tell you -- when it comes to showing up.  It was a project of several weeks, and I would sit all day waiting for the worker(s) to arrive.  Day after day after day.  I would phone and ask, "Where is the worker?"  They would respond "He is on the way."  I would sit and wait.  Only by day's end would it be clear that the guys never were on their way. This happened again and again and again. They missed more appointments in one month than all other people in my life, combined, had missed in the prior ten years combined.  Other times, their guy would show up at 1:00 or 2:00 pm when he was supposed to show at 9:00 or 9:30 or 10:00 am.  The overall job should have been done by mid-August.  Instead, they ran into September, and my September already was jammed with appointments that I had rescheduled because of all their missed dates in August, and I had to tell them that, now, I could not sit around and wait for a month for their next guy to show up.  The thing that really got me was the lack of shame, the lack of even apology for continually misleading me on the phone, literally telling me things that were not true about when people would be coming to work, tying up my days, having me wait day after day after day after day for a guy to show up, finally.  I have never encountered anything like this.  And the darn thing is that they do really nice work . . . when they show up.  So, if you have 7 or 8 weeks available for a job that they tell you they can do in 2 weeks, I heartily recommend them -- as long as you have an extra month open after those 7 and 8 weeks (or, to play it safe, maybe two extra months open).  Otherwise, you better just arrange to get a job that allows you to stay home all day.

Original consultation with Jerry went well, very positive. Unfortunately my 5 week project took 13 weeks, VERY POOR communication (basically  none unless I called them). Unprofessional when dealing with customers.  Went to pick out my granite (1 hour drive) - to find out I didn't need  to and that they had remnants, then the remnants weren't the same color. They were going to just pick some up and send me pictures to approve  the color which I did. 3 weeks later when I hadn't heard anything called to find out they were going to take  more pictures in the day light -  which arrived few days later. But I still had to drive 1.5 hours now to  go approve the granite in Downey (I live in South County). They're installation scheduling involves them calling and say "here's your day and time" - not "what day are you avaliable?".  When they showed up to install, the fabrication was incorrect - they had cut large undermount  sink holes in my vessel counter top sinks. The installer called the office - who instructed him to go ahead and do the demolition anyway. The one bright spot in my experience - Jesse the installer refused to leave me without sinks for an unknown amount of time while they corrected their mistake. (Especially as demolition only took minutes!)  Another week to get that fixed. In the end - the final product is very nice, but NOT worth the headache even though they were cheaper than most places. I had read reviews early on that their communication left something to be desired -as I wasn't on a time line I didn't forsee an issue - but I never imagined it could be THAT BAD!

This was the second job the company did for me and the craftsmanship is superb. The company installed our downstairs flooring in 5 days. We were extremely happy with the experience from start to finish. Once the work was completed the results exceeded our expectations. We will definitely use them again.
