The whole process took months from first measure to final install. There was a problem with something incorrect being ordered and that pushed us out. There was a lot of difficulty with scheduling because it was a multiple day job and both of us in the household work full time and would have to take time off work to have the install completed. I don't know if some companies understand that people work full time and can't just change their schedule day to day, usually they need to be able to plan ahead a couple weeks at least.
Overall the final product we are happy with but the process to get there was not easy, but the price was by far the least expensive that we found. When we pick the least expensive contractor for a home improvement job usually what we say is "you get what you pay for". So for years to come we will have beautiful windows that were headache to get done but for someone who likes to save a few thousand dollars I think that I am happy that we went with them, I just wish it was bit easier to get it completed.

Their quoting service was really good and the installers were nice. They explained what they were going to do and did not make a mess when they came in. They cleaned up and took us around and showed us what they had done after they installed. What was nice was that we were having our bathroom tiled at the same time and they kind of worked with the tile setters to make sure they put the window in first so they could put tile up to it. It was all finished in one day and they were really good. I liked the price.

All of this was done in half a day, they cleaned up everything, took away the old windows and off they went...I am very happy with the results.

A bathroom window was installed with the gray foam liner between the panes protruding from the corner?s top and sides. Shamrock ordered a replacement and installed it. After the guys left, we were astonished to see that the replacement had the exact same problem in the exact same place. It seemed like Groundhog Day! It turns out that Dan?s people don?t inspect the windows before they?re delivered to the customer. When Dan was asked about this, he said that he can?t inspect the hundreds of windows he receives.  Evidently, Milgard has the same process. (Milgard has since come out and installed yet another window and replaced a bent screen. A small area of foam protrudes ? in the same corner! We?ll hide it with a valance and live with it.)
In retrospect, this was not a great experience. Our kitchen remodel that is now nearly completed has, overall, been less problematic and frustrating than getting the windows. As a business and leadership consultant with 30+ years experience, I believe that Dan would better serve his customers and his business if he inspected every job with a discerning eye, looking for neatness of caulking, clean up, quality of installation and adjustments, and any unintended damage to existing structures.
Also, simply asking customers how the job went would be helpful. This would provide personal and positive closure as well as ensure excellent quality control. As I said earlier, we do like Dan and his wife, Jackie; they are hard working and honest people. We genuinely wish we could have given them a better review.

After reviewing 4 vendors, 3 area vendors and 1 national,  I choose Shamrock because of their total guarantee that covers the installation as well as the product for the life of the product. Most other vendors had time limits on either or both workmanship, the install, and/or the product itself. The installers arrived a bit late, no problem, and got right to work. They replaced my old and worn out windows with their brand new product, Milgard Styleline. They finished before the expected time but project completion was delayed as we were forced to wait on the local building inspector. I cannot give the company or the people working for them high enough grades. Would definitely use again or recommend to others.

I chose Shamrock after doing lots of research into other companies and brands.  With Shamrock I got a local company, USA-made windows with a great guarantee, installers who are company employees, and a company owner who absolutely knows his product and is an excellent problem-solver.  In their showroom, the owner, Dan, took the time to explain all the choices available, and make some suggestions.  He then came out and customized my windows and doors based on many factors, including the room they would be in, the level of sun exposure, and my personal preferences.  With respect to price, you get what you pay for.   Shamrock has followed up with me to make sure I am satisfied. I love my windows and doors and feel that I absolutely got my money's worth.

They are good. We had a problem with one of the doors. It wasn't their fault, it was an issue with the water leak and they came back and this is like five years later. They turned it all up, straightened it out, fixed it and they didn't charge me. They are timely. They are there when you ask them to be there. They fix things that needs to be fixed and they don't whine about it. They are a family-run organization.

Dan was a very nice man, he came within an hour. He corrected incorrect window hanging and did not charge extra. He quoted me a price before he did the work, and gave 5% discount. He never waivered on the price.

They arrived on time and were finished in under three hours.  Their quality of work was exceptional and they cleaned up everything before they left.  The new Milgard windows are fantastic and I will definitely call Shamrock again when I am able to replace our sliding glass doors with new ones.

Their showroom has downsized form a few years back; not the glitziest.  Their estimate was 15%  or so higher than some initial estimates from others, but it seemed to me that lower numbers were associated with wiggle words about addons, unforeseen charges and such.  I was pleased with the meticulous job done previously, and hoped they would be similarly detail oriented.  The final measurement guy was prompt and careful.  No surprise fees; the estimate was solid.

The windows were ready for install about a week or so earlier than estimated.  Easy to schedule install.  They did show up about a half hour late, but three man crew worked hard, and took extra care not to damage tile surrounding old window.  The job took 3 days, instead of the 1-2 estimated, but I can see where extra work was encountered, particularly in removing the old windows, and replacing damaged backing paper and stucco.  Building the bay window had a few complications as well.  Everything was done with good attention to detail, and no nasty shortcuts.  The crew was polite and pleasant and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards, not dumping any trash in my bins.  They did leave a satellite TV cable hanging that was stapled to the old french door frame, as installer didn't have the right clips, but they actually returned a week later to do that, even though they had already been fully paid.  I really like the way they matched original molding, even though getting custom matching molding took an extra day.

Shamrock Window and Doors had to rechalk around my bay window. They were referred by my contractor. They were prompt to come out. He was very good at finding the problem and fixing it. He found that it was a roofing problem when the roofer said it wasn't a roofing problem. He is very honest and I have recommended him to others and will keep using him.

From sales to installation, everything went really well. I was amazed that they finished the install in 1 day. There were some minor issues here and there, but when I finally called them (after 8 months of procrastination), they sent someone out who fixed everything, no charge. The only minor complaint I had was when I called them to do the repair work, I had to go through the sales office and then someone from repair had to call me back to schedule a time to come out - and that return call took a week or two. But since I waiting 8 months to call, I didn't mind the extra week or two.
