I had a new battery installed. They will take you within a certain mile radius.

They were fast, professional & courteous. Unfortunately the brake switch stopped working again. I called & was told it's probably a defective part, bring it in & we will replace it no charge. I retuned the next day, the recharged the battery & replaced the part. Haven't had any problems since then.

I checked several sources for reputable companies. Leisure World Auto Repair, now called Laguna Woods Auto Repair, was listed both on AAA approved facilities and positively here on Angie's List. I called them and spoke to Freddie who was very friendly and helpful. He told me there wasn't any wait time at the moment for a smog check so I drove right over. I was greeted by each person working there, who were all smiling, including the owner, Bob Truitt, who entered my information in the computer system and drove my car into the garage himself. One of the people there told me to help myself to coffee and popcorn. They have a big waiting area that is welcoming and designed to look like a 1950s diner. There is a television and plenty of magazines to choose from. One wall features hand written thank you notes from happy customers. There are also several plaques displayed that were awarded to them. I didn't have to wait long because the first smog check was done quickly. Bob handled the payment quickly and efficiently. I drove home and immediately brought my second car to them. Bob came outside right away to get this car's information and again drove the car into the garage. This time was just as quick as the first time. Bob handled the money transaction again efficiently and quickly. I am very impressed with all aspects of Laguna Woods Auto Repair and will gladly use their services again in the future as well as recommend them to others.

I called the establishment and the person who answered the phone named Jarrid was very nice and professional. I told him what I needed to have done and he was able to get me right in. I had no trouble finding the place and was promptly taken care of. There was a different older gentleman that did my paperwork and when it came time to check my odometer I went to my car with him to show him what button to push to see the mileage. When he exited my car he looked at me and said and quot;oh you're a dirty smoker!and quot; What?! Excuse me?! I was a bit offended by this comment, but realized after asking that he just didn't realize that was inappropriate to say to a customer even if he was a smoker himself. I left it alone and still continued to check in. The work was done in the same amount of time as they said it would be which wasn't long so that was much appreciated. I paid my bill and left and intended on writing a positive review when I returned home. As I pulled out I noticed that my stereo faceplate had been pulled out so turned around and went back to ask why that had been done. I've had the car for a while and never have I had any other mechanic do this. The mechanic who did the work came out and I asked him politely why this was done. He was immediately defensive and nasty! I was only asking a question and he proceeded to explain he had to turn the air conditioning ( which was not on) and radio off. Before I could understand that it was because it would effect the smog results he asked rudely and quot;what do you want me to buy you a new radio?!and quot; I said and quot;no I'm just asking a question and as long as my radio isn't broken I'm not asking for you to buy me a new radio.and quot; Then he proceeded to tell me that he could've just left the radio on and I would have failed my smog and that would be my problem to deal with! Really?! I asked him to step away from my car and that I didn't appreciate him getting nasty with me. He made no apologies and I left. Unfortunately, that type of quick to get nasty attitude is why my total impression of this repair shop changed in 2 minutes and so did my review. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know because what if there was a bigger issue than just asking a simple question? I don't frequent and give my money to establishments that have such poor customer service.

They were very good and very reasonable on their price. I was happy with them. I know some people can really rip you off. I went to Firestone, but I was not happy with them. With Leisure World Auto Repair, they didn't charge me a fortune or do things that didn't need to be done. My overall experience was very good. It was excellent! It was a regular garage type environment. The staff was fine. I was just happy that they serviced my car and didn't charge me a lot of money. The quality of the work was excellent! It was better than I expected. Responsiveness of the staff and their punctuality were very good. I'm going to use them again.

I recently took my car here for an oil change and to get some of my 30,000 mile scheduled maintenance. I have been taking my car here since 2001, and I am a customer for life. I would drive from LA to this place if I had to (I used to go here from Long Beach actually). After getting the oil change, they inspected my car and told me that none of my 30,000 mile items were really necessary yet. It was a relief because the dealership that I had gotten the car from said that it would be over $700 if I went through the dealership. I told that to my regular guys and they laughed. I, like most people have been to Auto shops where they MUST find something else wrong with your car every time. That doesn't happen here. They are honest, fair, friendly, and great quality. When you walk around their shop and see a 50 ft wall covered with awards, and customer testimonials, you know you've found a winner.

They are quite honest. I was afraid that I was going to have a big bill with the timing belt. They explained to me that my car didn't have one. So I didn't have a $1000 bill and instead I had a $225 one.
