Jonathan Construction

WOW. After continuously calling my home daily for months on end asking if we needed a contractor, we finally decided to entertain a bid from Jonathan Construction. Big mistake. They were rude, pushy, indignant and insufferable. The caller, whose name is MIRANDA, claimed to be "sarah" (probably so complaints about her don't come back on her) refused to answer simple questions about whether or not they negotiated, were bonded and insured, and whether or not the actual contractor would be involved. She ended up lecturing us about the "type of people we were" even though we only wanted to know what kind of company we were talking to. DON'T ENGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY. They also have LOTS of horrible reviews on Yelp. With so many construction companies in the area, you can easily find a much better one.

They began work in April, but would take 2-3 week breaks.  The workmanship was very bad, and they didn't care about the customer at all.  When I had a problem and spoke to a manager, they were even worse than the workers.  I ended up firing them halfway through the job, and had already paid them half the money.  They threatened to put a lien on the home if I didn't pay them the remaining balance, even though they had only done half the work.  I would not recommend them to anyone.
