The end result is excellent, and was completed on time and on budget. We originally got several bids (thanks, Angie's List!), then decided to get one more from Nate based on a personal recommendation from a neighbor. The bids I got ranged from $1,800 to $4,500. I told him honestly up front that we were leaning toward a guy who bid $2,000 for the job, just so that we wouldn't be wasting our time in case the job was 'too small' or that price was unattainable for him. Once we got Nate's bid, we decided to go with him. It was a little difficult to get him started, as he was busy with other jobs. I kept calling him though, and eventually we agreed on a start date. Nate is serious about his responsibility as a contractor, and does everything right. No cutting corners for this guy. It took him an extra day to come finish the cleanup work, but overall we're very happy with the end result.
