Did the estimate and told me a start date within a week or two. Came when they said they would and were in and out in 2 days, as expected. Left everything neat and clean and put back everything they took apart. Put extra effort in to make it look good (which involved doing a little cleanup of previous painters mess-ups using touch-up paint I had from before). Also did a little dryway repair where things weren't even or smooth, which was more than I expected. I was happy.

There was lot of competition, as other work had to be done on the houses at the same time. He had to help me co-ordinate with other contractors. He was highly professional, patient and resourceful. He came up with solutions. He always came up with solutions to problems that I dealt with on the houses I had owned and had to manage. He was a great guy and had a hard working professional crew. He was really the best. He has been working with me since 1998. He painted the outside of my house twice. When I inherited, my mother passed away. My sister and I needed a whole bunch of work done in LA. He actually drove to LA, brought in his crew, and worked on it, a lot of it was complicated. I would continue to use his services again in the future. There certainly could be people who would do this work for less money but I would not be happy with the results. When I had my house painted first, I bidded with a whole lot of people but he always gave a fair price and also less than other people.

The first time was when I first moved to Laguna Beach. I had three or four bids. The only fair and reasonable bid I got was from Keith Phillips. My house is on a canyon and it is very difficult to access. A lot of other companies couldn't figure out how to do it. He not only figured it out but gave a very fair price and did a very good job. His crew is very professional. He is a really good guy. About two years ago I needed the house repainted. He again did a very good job at a fair price. I didn't even think to ask anyone else. Last year he also repainted the interior of my house. It was for a very fair price as well.
