I initially hired Greg Daw because I thought he was extremely professional, courteous and would complete the job in a promptly manner.  However, that was all a facade and a far cry from what happened.  He had initially said that the job would take 3-4 weeks, which I assumed would translate into 6-8 weeks which would have been acceptable.  The job took a painful 6 months.  During that time there were numerous excuses as to why things were not going as scheduled.   He went at his own pace, did not always return phone calls, and had little consideration for the fact that we still had to live in the house.   At the 3 month mark he had promised that he would be here everyday until the job was done.  The irony is that he showed up one time over the next month.  He seemed to take little interest in the job and paid little attention to the details.  I had to continuously point out flaws and things that needed to be done.  There were also problems with the subcontractors he used.  The wood floors had to be redone twice as there were hairs embedded in the topcoat.  There are still hairs on the surface and the finish is less than satisfactory.  I eventually had to create a list of all the things that needed to be done which I thought was ridiculous because this is why I had hired him in the first place.  There are still a number of things which still are not right, but you get to the point where you just want your house back and overlook them.  I made the mistake of paying him in full, with the promise that he would repaint a ceiling which never happened despite my emails, calls, and texts.  These are just some of the reasons as to why I cannot recommend Greg Daw.  He is unprofessional and lacks integrity.
