Shamrock Pool Fiberglass Inc

Our spa was leaking and Shamrock Pool/Fiberglass said that they could stop the leak by applying a new fiberglass coat around the entire spa.  They put a new coat over the entire surface of the spa and the leak did stop.  HOWVEVER, the work was sloppy, the control panel and light were left with resin smudges and streaks.  The surface of the spa was initially smooth and shiny, now it's rough and irregular.  Resin smudges and drops were left on our AZEK deck.  When I spoke with Jan, the work supervisor/contractor, about removing the resin, he said they could power-wash the deck or use Acetone.  Acetone was tried on a small spot and it began to remove some of the color.  Numerous attempts were made to contact Jan, most of the time he would not return my calls.  When it was clear that I wanted the resin on the deck removed, Jan started blaming our dog for tracking the resin on the deck, then he accused me of not telling him the deck could not be power-washed before starting the job . . . something I simply did not know.  He refused to contact AZEK to try and find a safe way of removing the resin.  He sent me an email and said, "If you think you're going to get a new deck, it ain't goin' to happen." I took on the responsibility of contacting AZEK and obtained their recommendation for possibly removing the resin.  Take a look at the photos to see how the spa was left after the work was completed.  Shamrock will be coming over to hopefully try to remove the resin using the recommendations of AZEK this Saturday.
