We were first time buyers, from Europe, so were very unfamiliar with the normal American house buying procedures. Paddy took time to explain any questions we had. We kept our house hunt a secret from our children in order to reduce anxiety over the long process, as a result we needed to view houses separately and one of us could not go to the open houses. Paddy spent time one or two nights every week between 5-8pm to take one of us to viewings and this was for nearly 5 months. We saw at least 70-80 houses and Paddy was extremely helpful and encouraging throughout our hunt. Paddy is also a very nice guy, and good companion during our house hunting, this was very important due to the amount of time we spend together.
Paddy was very helpful in giving advice concerning the areas- including areas we had not considered. He has good knowledge of the local good and bad school districts. Paddy has previous experience as a developer/contractor and could helpfully point out issues that we had not considered. He also recommended our loan company (JV Lending) when our own bank agents were slow to respond.
In finalizing all the detail work involved in closing the deal and completing the contracts, Paddy was very helpful and was always on top of all closing requirements. He also made sure we got the best deal possible, even when he could have ended up with more commission had we paid a higher price.
We highly recommend Paddy to anyone looking for a very competent, efficient and reliable real estate agent who is good company.
