"Customer, Although we are pleased to hear you are satisfied with the design of your home improvement, it is unfortunate that you chose to negatively impact our review with an overall 'D' rating. In addition to your home improvement, WF Construction has a personal relationship with your family and we have always maintained a good rapport. Your daughter worked for our company for several years, and was/is good friends with the daughters of the CEO and CFO at WF Construction. Based on this, we are responding to your review with a high level of respect and professionalism. Contrary to your statement, our contract with you was not vague. Based on your decisions, the contract spelled out (in detail) everything you requested to be done in your home. If there was something in the contract that was unclear to you, you had unlimited access to our management team (via email, office phone, or celluar phone) to address any issues before construction commenced. Our management team met with you on several occasions before construction commenced, and we maintained daily contact with you to keep you up to speed on our progress. Regarding change orders, please keep in mind that any work in addition to the original scope of work is a change order. This is a standard practice in the construction industry. Customer, you made numerous, last minute changes during the construction phase of your home improvement, and we did everything in our power to accommodate your requests in a timely manner. Changes to the original scope of work are not free of charge. Contrary to your statement, WF Construction does not have an attorney on retainer. However, it is standard practice for a company to hire an attorney when there are conflicts that cannot be resolved between two parties. Considering you are an attorney, you are very familiar with this process. Regarding the 'huge lawsuit', if you recall, the judge ruled in our favor. The defamation of character displayed in your review (almost 2 years after the lawsuit) is without merit and unjustified. By submitting a review of our company, your credibility is questionable. Regarding building codes, WF Construction obtained approved construction plans and permits for your home improvement. If the plans contained something that was not up to code, that would have been addressed and corrected during the plan check phase, as we would not have been able to obtain permits. We did not 'cut corners' or perform any illegal activity at any time during the design and construction phases. Attacking our business ethics is unnecessary and malicious on your part. We have numerous clients throughout Southern California that are 100% pleased with our services (past and present). We will continue to strive for excellence for our clients. Regarding your final statement to 'have your own attorney review their contract before you sign', as previously stated, you are an attorney. Therefore, if there was wording in the contract you did not agree with, you had every opportunity to bring it to our attention before signing it. Despite your negative review, we would like to wish you continued success in your future endeavors. Best of luck to you, customer."
