This week we had a leak from a bathroom sink. The part was difficult was to find, so they needed to return. My mom also asked me to inquire about the black grunge that was continually collecting on the base of our kitchen faucets. She hoped it could be fixed. An "E. L." Plumber told us that the faucets were improperly installed. He said plumber's putty should have been used. It would take a couple of labor hours to correct the issue and there was the possibility that the faucet might be damaged. When I spoke to Enrique, the owner of E. L. Plumbing, I asked him if I would have to pay for this problem since it was his company's error in the first place. He pointed out that the installation was done 2 years ago. I would be charged. While frankly, I hire a plumber because this sort of work is outside my scope of knowledge. I had no idea that installation was incorrect. I asked if he would at least fix it for a discounted rate. He told me to hire another plumber.
Bottom line, this is not a company that stands behind its' work. I hope if you use them, the work is done correctly the first time. If not, I hope you recognize the mistake, or prepare to pay for the work all over again.
