I first asked for JR soles. He told me they would be $80. I thought, 'great price!' And if it's too good to be true that's because it is. When I brought my shoes in, he told me he didn't like JR soles because they have oil he doesn't like. The truth is that he had no JR soles, just cheap knock-offs. I asked if he was going to stick them on? He said yes. I went to pick them up a day later than we agreed and had to wait 20 minutes for him to try and disguise all the stains on the sole he glued to my Aldens. There is black edge treatment all over the leather. I had one tassle that needed repair, he didn't do that either. He is not a shoe cobbler, period. He did not replace the soles, he just glued some cheap ones over top. The top lifts are also glued, not nailed. This kind of work might pass muster in Tijuana but all this is is a $95 lesson on what not to do. Do not do business with this guy. He has some products and new boots cops might like but do not take any other kind of shoe to 'Andy.' I cannot emphasize this enough, he is not a shoe cobbler. He has a shoe 'repair' shop but does not know anything about how to repair shoes properly.

Called to get a price to put zippers in 16" boots.  Was told it would be between $38 and $45.  Drove to store and was told it is normally $80 but when questioned, said would do it for $60.  Bait and switch.

I had two pairs of diabetic shoes that needed new soles, cushion, and side support work done to restore it to a condition that provided the kind of support I needed. I searched Angie's List for a recommendation but the one's that had written reviews were further away than I wanted to drive. Andy's Shoe Repair was close but while it had a good rating, there were no written comments on the store. I decided to try Andy's and to write a comment about my experience. I'm very glad to say that everything turned out great. Andy described what repair work was needed and why, gave me a good price, and promised to have it done within three days. I am completely satisfied with the quality, price and service provided.
I also had a watch that needed repair; Andy sent it to another repair shop, called me with the price (which was great), and had the repaired watch ready for me when I picked up my shoes.

He is a good guy. He is a wonderful guy. He is a small business owner and he really works really hard. He is a great guy. He is a hard worker and is very personable and it is not an easy business to do well in. I would recommend him to others. I have given him boots to repair; I wear a lot of clogs because I am a nurse, so I have given him my nursing clogs. I have given him sandals and I know that he has done dance shoes for the dance troops from the high schools. I also know that he does luggage repairs and purses. The sandals repairs are going to be probably approximately $45 and these are $90 sandals, so I am going to get like a new pair of sandals. He has resoled a lot of my clogs and I think he did a strap for my daughter for a really nice bag that she had, so he has done a lot of stuff for them too.
