We have an ongoing relationship with Alpine and have had them work on our grounds off-and-on for several years. We love the way the yards look. Xeriscape on the front, more entertaining space in the back lower-tier, while the back upper-tier is given over to meandering paths through trees.
The work, once started, is completed promptly, the key is getting it started. As with any small company, the owner jumps from project to project which can be exasperating at times. However, they will do the work the way that you want it done. For example, we do not permit chemicals on our grounds, so we have had to find creative ways to prevent our neighbor's Bermuda grass from encroaching.
Alpine also does the minor things that keep the landscape at its' best - refreshing the DG in the paths, replacing leggy plants, dividing and re-planting succulents, cleaning rocks and removing roots from the water feature.
As a final note, the work crews do not smoke or play loud music on the job.
Would definitely recommend them.
However, he did not supervise his workers very well. He was rarely there. We lost a big, lovely tree on the street because of the work that was done (Roundup to kill grass, removal of soil and with it the removal of much of the tree's roots, tree's needs would not be compatible with a new, lower water usage landscape). I feel that he should have realized that this was a possibility and told us about it, or compensated for it in the design somehow.
