Jill Akalski - Lawyers Title

They were so unprofessional that we ended up hiring lawyers to push
them along, yet they still managed to have extremely poor communication
with our attorneys.  Lawyers Title of Yucca Valley, CA was so bad that even
our attorney says he will tell everyone he and his firm knows to avoid them at all costs!
When a real estate firm in Palm Springs, CA says it was their worst experience with any
title company... you know Lawyers Title of Yucca Valley, CA should close their doors.
They made demands that no other escrow of title company would make,
not even in a multi-million dollar transaction, and this one was
less than $100,000!  They continually changed their minds on what they wanted
or needed, actually refusing to accept a notarized document from Bank of America and at
our expense, sent out a "traveling notary" of their choice to get our signatures on documents
we'd already submitted.  They delayed the process so long the buyers loan expired and he
had to start over with his paper work.  Lawyers Title eventually closed
escrow but never bothered to tell anyone, never asked how we wanted the
closing funds to be sent out, they just put a check in the mail "that is
our standard procedure"... so they claim.  POOR COMMUNICATIONS.
One week later the check has still not arrived, and it only had to travel less than 25 miles to a
neighboring city... normally overnight mail.  No idea where the check
is and of course, Lawyers Title isn't sure of their next step.  INCOMPETENCY AT ITS BEST!
