"I look forward to jumping in when this client is ready to implement changes,"
"This client has been a pure delight. I look forward to moving to the next phase in the coming weeks."
"Thank you for the kind words. In this case I was hired specifically to provide guidance for updating a moderate investment property to resell that required tasteful yet economical choices & quick availability. Color direction, flooring, surface materials, & more were addressed as well as resources that would be responsive & meet her needs. The client & contractor are handling the purchases & installations. Consultations also included phone & emails."
"I appreciate the strong review from this warm & hospitable couple. Part of my success with clients is active listening to both partners & advancing recommendations & reasons that take both of their perspectives into account in arriving at mutually agreeable decisions. Since they submitted this review I continued to work with them and selected new floors and layout, baseboards, completed two bathroom makeovers including countertops, backsplash and bathroom tile design & layout, lighting, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, and paint colors and placement throughout the house, light fixtures, furniture placement, and consulted on many other elements. Stage 1 is now completed. When my clients are ready in 2017 we will move to Phase 2 with some refurnishing & accessorizing."
"pThank you for your supportive remarks. 2 appointments were necessary given considerable time spent providing requested suggestions beyond the original appointment scope, & need to choose several paint colors & where they would be applied for a 2-story house with many angles, high ceiling, arches & lighting challenges. The price was actually discounted so a B for price must be based on this clients expectation that everything could be accomplished within a 2-hour window."
first about wether she would be to glitter for me and I am more traditional ...but she gave me the confidence she could put the depth in the design....it was a pleasure
"I enjoyed this first consultation in which I addressed new flooring, cabinet finishes & hardware, color direction & a variety of other topics to be pursued in greater depth in a follow up visit. I pride myself on being a good listener, which enables me to integrate each client's preferences with my ideas to present options that are pleasing to my clients. I look forward to continuing with this member when he has decided from the flooring options I presented."
In the end, both Ev and I agreed that there was a certain amount of this that I could do on my own, now that Ev had helped me see the space more clearly and gotten the ideas flowing for solutions. If and when I am stuck again, or in need of help with a larger project, I will definitely call Ev!
"Thank you for the detailed, positive comments. I much enjoyed meeting with this client & felt gratified that I was able to understand her numerous & specific requirements for the spaces that we reviewed & to provide solutions that would meet those needs. This consultation was an example of 'thinking on my feet' inasmuch as pictures in no way could accurately reflect the space or the options that might be employed to make it both more functional & attractive. I look forward to further assisting this client should she decide that she wants further support after taking steps on her own."
"I was delighted to read how pleased my client was working with me & with the fruits of my labor in her & her husband's behalf. This project first involved selecting interior paint for the entire house, to match their furniture & furnishings which were still in another home in another state. This was done by referring to a few fabric samples & studying pictures of their other home, as well as considering the new home's flooring, countertops & other surface materials, & by evaluating colors with my client & fine-tuning the selections based on their participation in the decision-making process. That is to say, it is important to me that my client's sensibilities be taken into account. The wall color results were wonderful but could only be truly appreciated once the furniture was moved in & the artwork hanged. Additionally, I proposed & designed a travertine & mosaic tile fireplace mantel shelf, helpedthem select barstool styles & the upholstery, found seating & established the layout for their den, living/dining room, office, etc. consulted on & selected numerous area rugs, & made recommendations for a variety of other elements (e.g., how to best hide our storage in the laundry room), creating a marble counter/bar to match the kitchen counters & a pass--through' from the kitchen to the den, establishing dimensions for various case goods & other elements. The enthusiasm, receptiveness, intelligence & organization of this client contributed to this project's success & the fun I had along the way. I enthusiastically accept her invitation to further assist when she is ready to move to the next step."
We enjoyed working with Ev and plan to use her in the next areas of our remodel.
"Thank you for the kind words! We have since met a second time, selected paint colors for your kitchen to coordinate with your new countertop, cabinets & backsplash tile sample, discussed options for backsplash tile layout behind the stove, agreed on cabinet hardware, & began discussion about accent colors for your LR/DR/den. This was a successful exercise in hearing both of your color & design preferences & finding solutions pleasing to both of you. I appreciate you noting my follow-up & preparedness, & look forward to returning for the next step once your kitchen is further along. You are both a delight."
I hired her for a 1 hour consultation and we discussed a number of topics including kitchen layout considerations, flooring, counter-tops, and different options for back-splashes.
She even stayed longer than the 1 hour to give me a few tips on how to approach updating the wet bar area! I also appreciated the fact that she was able to accommodate setting up an appointment to meet with me on short notice (i.e. less than 48 hours).
I would highly recommend her in planning for your next remodel project.
"This was a somewhat rare 1-hour Angie's coupon consultation that I was able to accommodate due to the proximity of the homeowner to my business. We 'covered a lot of territory' that would typically require more time (& yes, I stayed longer than an hour & should have charged for the additional time) & the client already had some samples for which he wanted my opinion. Based on my guidance he was able to move forward with his kitchen remodel. Note: 1 hour consultations may not be available in your area & may be limited in scope of services covered."
"I appreciate the vote of confidence expressed here & look forward to assisting him again when he is ready. My only additional comment is that I actually gave this client extra time at no additional cost & am amazed to receive a "B" for price. As a matter of fact, I am no longer offering this deal at this price or beyond a very limited service area."
"Thank you so much for the supportive & detailed review, And being so receptive to my suggestions. This has been one of my favorite projects and I, too, loved the results. It is also such a pleasure to work with such kind and receptive clients. I am excited to work with you again when you are ready to proceed with some of the other items on your decorating bucket list."
The purpose of her visit was to give me her professional opinion regarding a potential remodel on our existing house or perhaps to sell and buy what would best fit our needs. She looked at contractor plans and evaluated the space we had to work with and what was proposed. We discussed family room and kitchen options, master bedroom and bathroom configurations, pathways that did and didn't make sense-- things a designer would notice! We spent quite a bit of time talking about backyard space that would be left with the remodel, and she gave us a few referrals should we decide to sell our house.
Ev was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. She is very responsive via email or phone.
I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing this type of service!
When we make our decision and are farther along in the process, I would love to have her help again with more design and decorating help-- the fun stuff!
"I greatly appreciate the kind words and very much enjoyed working with this couple in guiding them through options concerning a remodel. It is always a pleasure to help people where there is an open communication and receptive to possibilities. Once some decisions are made by you about what direction to proceed, it is my hope that you will contact me to move to the next step."
"Thank you for the kind words. You were both delightful, & receptive to my suggestions. I am pleased to hear that I may be hearing from you again when you are farther along in preparing your home for sale, & look forward to seeing how the paint colors come out!"
"Thank you! This has blossomed into an ongoing project currently involving reupholstering living/dining & some kitchen furniture including some redesign & using fabric selections that I made & presented to my clients for approval. They have been a delight to work with & they're confidence in elg design is gratifying."
"Thank you for your detailed review. I am gratified that my services gave you many useful ideas & helped in clarifying your goals. Good luck on preparing your considerable home for sale."
"Thank you for nice review. We got a great deal accomplished in a short time & you were a pleasure to work with. I would love you to shoot me photos of the results!"
It has really made our house a home...but one with taste and style.
Thank you!
"This was a challenging , fun project that made me feel as though I knew this family by sorting, organizing & establishing wall placement of their many family photographs & art pieces. I am delighted to read that both my client & their visitors are so pleased with the results."
"This client was truly a delight & I am so pleased that the time I spent guiding her & presenting ideas was so productive. I consulted on many elements - type & color of new flooring, furniture placement, bathroom colors & materials, fireplace consultation, & more.I am excited to be called upon again to assist with the next stage when they are ready."
"Thank you for your nice review. This follow up visit was perfect for integrating colors from new acquisitions into selecting cabinetry paint colors, window treatment design & furniture placement. I look forward to seeing the results!"
Ev takes her work very seriously. She spent hours selecting colors for our office (we asked her to create something vibrant) and it looks great.
She was great working with us around the buildings schedule, which seemed to change on a daily basis. I highly recommend her.
"I greatly apreciate you taking the time to submit your review & including specifics about what you liked about elg design. You were a delight to work with & at times under challenging circumstances created by the building's management but we successfully worked around them & produced great results. I look forward to putting the final touches on with artwork & plants when you are ready."
Ev is very knowledgeable and a very pleasant person to work with.
She had several good ideas for our kitchen remodel (things we would have never throught of otherwise) that we implemented and are really glad we did. We would highly recommend elg design and would most definitely employ this firm in the future.
"I really enjoyed helping this couple. The chemistry & communication were great & I look forward to seeing how they have implemented my ideas. I am pleased to hear that they found the consultation valuable & would like to continue with elg design when my services are needed again."
I found the entire experience to be very beneficial. She provided me with new ideas to make my office dream a reality. She also emailed me a checklist that confirmed everything we discussed. I would be happy to work with her again.
"I look forward to implementing some of the suggestions & items on the checklist we developed during my visit when the client is ready to proceed."
"I appreciate the positive comments & look forward to continuing with this project when the client is ready. We have since begun a second project on a commercial property so this one is temporarily on hold."
