They only did three of our windows and then they went out business. Their service was terrible. It took forever to get our windows because one of the windows did not pass inspection at the warehouse. I called them to have one of the windows repaired and found they are out of business now.

Very poor service, follow up and communication. I would avoid them until they get their ordering and customer service together. Very sorry we worked with them. Numerous mistakes and delays. The job still isn't done and it has been 4 months since they first came by to install.

Overall experience is not one I would want to repeat. The door did not meet specifications of reinforcement and glass width. I was told, they would manufacture a new door. After repeated phone calls to check on progress, they did not even return my calls. After months of not hearing from them, I received a call in August that they were ready to finish my order. A Vice President came out and said they had had computer problems (for 5 months?) and they had my new door in the warehouse. He made a appointment to have it installed on August 7, 2012. No one even showed up. I wrote the VP and he never did respond. On October 12th, I received a call saying they were ready to install my door. I set an appointment. Their installers came out and said they had to take the door to the factory. They came back with the same door. They told me there is already reinforcement in the top of the door. Bear in mind, the original installers told me there is no reinforcement. They then tried to glue strips on the glass to make the glass look smaller. These strips looked horrible on a $1700 door. I told them to take them off. To this day, November 28th, they have not responded to a registered letter I sent them on November 5th. Meanwhile I have had no window treatment or privacy on my back door. Do not use this company unless you want a complete hassle.

I called them up and they came over and measured all the windows. The doors and windows were made at that point. They installed 9 windows and it took about a month for the entire process. They were on time and the installers were very nice and their work was great. The windows started to fog between the glass. The first time they came and replaced them for free. The second and third time they haven't responded to any of my issues. I have left several messages and nothing. They finally got back with me in June and said it would be 2 weeks before they had a chance to make it out again to replace the window and door. It has been 6 months and I haven't been able to get the compnay to come out and replace any of my things.

A very good job! but I needed to keep a close eye on the installation and use a detailed check list. Vinyl Masters is the manufacturer and can offer very good prices. Quality of the product is excellent and one year later is still as good as new! High performance low thermal emision glazing was included at no extra charge! Only warning is that the installers are on a tight time schedule so if you are not experienced in house construction you should find someone to oversee the installation.

First I would like to say that the salesman misrepresented himself by not being honest about the company being dropped by Direct Buy. Yes, we should have checked for ourselves, but we took the word of the salesman. The estimate went well and within two weeks we received a call and set up a date for the install.
The crew called the morning of the instal before arriving and were very polite. The install went well, but they were not able to finish sealing all the windows. We were told that someone would come by the next day to finish the job. No one called or came by to finish the next day, or for over a week. We called Vinyl Masters a few times to get the job finished, but our messages were never returned. We finely looked through our phone and were able to recover the number of the installer who had called the morning of the install and we called him. He had no idea the job hadn't been finished because he had been sent out on other jobs and assumed it had been finished. He told us he would talk with his manager about getting the last two windows sealed. Another week went by, no phone calls, no one came by to seal the windows. So we called the installer again, this time he came by on his own time a few days later and sealed the windows.
We called Vinyl Masters every couple of days during all of this and our phone calls were never returned. We tried calling the salesman with the number that was on his card, but that number had been disconnected. We called Direct Buy to inform them about the poor customer service. We were then told that Direct Buy had stopped using them for that very reason.
The product is great, the install looks great and the crew was very polite. The customer service from the factory is horrible, I would never refer anyone to Vinyl Masters or use them again.

The team at Vinyl Masters Doors & Windows was able to install the new windows in a very timely manner. I ordered the windows using my membership with DirectBuy so I received a discount. Not sure how the price compares to other manufactures without my discount. I did not use VinylMasters' service to install the windows. Since these were retro-fit windows, I installed them myself. The windows were made in San Diego and were completed on time. I drove to the manufacture site and picked up the windows myself which also saved on delivery.

Vinyl Masters was excellent. Their price was as good as anyone else but the quality of their windows was better than everyone else we saw (especially the casement windows). The installers did a very good job and cleaned up after themselves. We are very happy with our new windows. I highly recommend Vinyl Masters.

After enlisting Angie s List the company satisfied my needs by giving me a discount on the blinds. These blinds were top quality. However, Vinyl Masters had not been accustomed to working in that area. When I had asked for what I felt was a reasonable customer satisfaction discount I was declined. Angie s List helped me by asking for that discount again. I totally recommend Angie s List. I also think Vinyl Masters will be a better vendor in the future. They were wanting to be good in the eyes of Angie s List!

Overall, we were happy with the company. The main reason we chose them was that we needed windows that were dark brown on the exterior to match our condo building, and two other owners had used this company. They make vinyl windows that are white on the interior, but have a brown laminate coating on the exterior (rather than paint). The service was good, and our only complaint is that the installers didn't do a great job of cleaning up before they left.

Of all the vendors I used to remodel my kitchen, Vinyl Masters was THE best experience, and that includes large kitchen companies, granite companies, appliance stores, etc. They came out and measured for a single kitchen window. It's a small job for them but I wanted the best, and knew that if I was doing a larger job the price of a single window would drop significantly. As it was, this was a single window and it may look expensive, but it's a gorgeous XO vinyl slider with new screen. What was most impressive was their cool demeanor! While all the other vendors whined and pushed back on other companies to do stuff, Vinyl Masters was very proper and kind with me. They installed their window but the final trim piece, very significant at that, needed to go on after the granite was installed. They came out later and did it at no cost. Now I am remodeling a "flip house" and I gave them the business do to do all windows. We're just getting started. So far, great service!
