Matt Kelly Construction

Matt Kelly of Matt Kelly Construction did some work for my landlord at the Remington Apartments in El Cajon. He never showed up on time, if at all, did shoddy work and in the end, never completed the job. Unfortunately, my landlord had to hire other companies to complete the work he started, incurring additional costs. Matt laid down a tile floor with nothing underneath (missing thinset) in some areas. There is a hollow sound below the tiles throughout the place. Some of the tiles are slowly being compromised. He carelessly placed very sloppy grout (see pictures) on the bathroom wall where the shower doors were removed. There is paint splatter throughout the fixtures in the (see pictures). Now the Homeowner Association has cited my landlord for paint on the fire sprinkler, which have compromised its integrity. They don’t work if there is paint on its sensors. I highly discourage anyone from hiring Matt Kelly Construction. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. They lack professionalism, integrity and honesty. If you’re smart, perform your due diligence and get honest referrals from real customers that the contractor can provide to you.
