Man was 5 minutes late. We had the baseboards on hand. No other material was needed. He finished the job in 50-55 minutes. Did a Excellent job. He could not give me cost of job at this time. We were billed $250.00. After a few calls to office they reduced the invoice to $200.00 for less than 1 hours work. We have used them over the years for our home in Lemon Grove ( shutters and carpets). Also at our home in La Mesa for complete window coverings. Will no longer use them or REFER THEM TO OUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS!

I previously had them do approximately 1600 Sq. feet of new carpet, all but one room. I have now used this company for both carpeting and window coverings. I had them carpet the one remaining room and do window coverings for six windows. Excellent is the word that best describes Family Carpet and Draperies. From their customer service, and installation, to the quality of their products. This is a company you can trust to do an exemplary job. Recommend without reservation.

They did a terrible job. Rude, threatening, left several gaps in woodwork which GC had to fix, flooring installed improperly, cut linoleum too short (left another gap). No skill - terrible job - no pride of workmanship - totally overcharged - no secret why they don't put their name on their business.

My experience with this family owned business was beyond amazing. The 22 years old carpet in my two story, furniture filled, house was in desperate need of replacement. I had put it off as long as I could. From the moment I walked into their showroom, Kim and her son Evan, assured me they were up to the task. Yes, I would need to do some pre-prep, move small items, including Televisions and other Electronics, empty the Hutch, Curio Cabinets, Credenza, Closets etc. but their installers would handle the heavy stuff. The professional, efficient, friendly installers arrived at 7:45 AM. They looked at the situation and announced that the scheduled two day job could be completed in one day! It was like Carpet Ninjas had arrived. The three man crew swooped in and moved all the furniture, removed the old carpet, installed 200 square yards of beautiful new carpet and moved the furniture back, all by 5:45. I am thrilled beyond words, with my new carpet. This was an awesome experience. You can trust this company to exceed your expectations.

I've actually used them probably like five times.  Actually, they did install carpet in our old house last May also and in my condo in July, so I've used them a lot of times.  The installation was good, the price was good, and the quality seems to be good, because we've had blinds that just like snap, break, so these have not broken.  Don't go to like budget blinds; that's where we went before.  I've used them in condos over the years, too. 

The guys did an excellent job; they were quick, professional and accommodating. Recommend highly.

They were experienced in doing the job. Very helpful in trying to match curtain rods in living room with others in the house. Pleasant to do business with the family owned and operated store.

Carpet in the whole house and vinyl in bath and kitchen. Workers were on time, worked hard, and were very professional. A few small problems at the end, but they jumped right on the issue and resolved it without question. Very easy to work with. The quality of workmanship was top notch. Not sure if they were costly or not. I know I got nice soft carpet and pretty vinyl and the price seemed right for me, considering the quality of the product and the fine workmanship. I plan to do business with them again.

Paul came to my home, was polite and on time.  He had an adequate number of samples to show me and was helpful in offering suggestions on what to use for my over sized windows.  My custom blinds and decorative traverse rods arrived ahead of the estimated time and were installed in a timely manner.

Even though my windows are large - my living room was lacking adequate light.  The blinds he recommended made a huge difference in lightening the room.  Thank you, Paul, I'm truly enjoying all the light!

Ryan came out and measured our windows for plantation shutters and arrived when he said he would. He was polite, very friendly and showed me all the options and colors of shutters.  He made suggestions on the kitchen window as I was unsure of what to use.  A second person came out later to re-measure the windows (measure twice-cut once I was told).  No problem with that.  The shutters arrived on time and were installed in a day.  They look fantastic !  I would definitely use them again and refer them to friends. 

It went very well. Demo was quick and very neat and clean. Applying the Moisture barrier added a day to the work, which otherwise was done on time. Installation was done very well and it is beautiful! We had a call back on a couple problem boards which Daniel and his crew responded to quickly and cheerfully. They were willing to do whatever it took to make sure we were satisfied and we are.

Ryan estimated the cost and we paid about one-third towards the total cost. We contacted them in roughly 2-3 weeks, and learned that the blinds had arrived. We arranged an immediate installation: Ric arrived on time, and carried out the job very quickly. The blinds work just fine. Since our door/window faces the sunrise, we can now sleep later!

We have used them many times. They do amazing work. We have used them in the houses we flip.

Paul came out very soon after my call to look at the job, make recomendations and give me an estimate. he told me the drape would take about 3 weeks for them to make. it was done a little before that time and they came out and installed it within my schedule. the whole experience was positive and painless.

Paul the owner of Family Carpet and Drapes has always given my family and I exceptional service. It really says a lot about someones character and their company when you feel comfortable investing your money with them.  We have used them on several occasions so I figured it was time for a review.  From the beginning Paul was on time and punctual.  He walked us through the entire process step by step making us feel like we were family.  He showed us samples, made some suggestions, placed the order and had our new draperies installed.  I would highly recommend this company and all of the services they provide.  Now our home looks better than ever.  Everyone that comes over asks us about our custom drapes and where we got them.  We will continue to give our window treatment and flooring business to them.  They have never let us down.  I am a huge supporter of small family business.  It's the only way to go if you want that extra attention to detail.  Thanks again Paul for making this transaction so smooth and easy.

I have always had nothing but excellent service and experiences with this company, from the sales thru the installations of the various products which I have purchased, starting with carpeting as far back as the 1980's.  I have had that carpeting replaced with tile throughout the living room, kitchen and bathroom areas, with new carpeting in the bedrooms, also done by the same company, in 2002. 
Most recently, I purchased plantation shutters from the owner's son in 2007.  Once again, the service was excellent from start to finish, as the son who sold me the shutters, also installed them and they are still (5years later) like new.  I had a slight problem in the beginning with one of the shutters not closing properly and when I called, he came back within a week and took care of the problem to my satisfaction.  Two years ago, I purchased carpeting to be made into an area rug for my living room.  They had the carpet cut, bound and delivered to me at a very reasonable price.

I just happened to be driving by on the way home one evening from work  and decided to go into the Family Carpet & Draperies showroom.  As  soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted with a warm smile and  great customer service.  This is a family owned business and it shows.   Ryan's expertise helped me choose a beautiful wood floor that blended beautifully with my existing hardwood floors in my living room.  Ryan is not only very knowledgeable, but very kind and considerate.  I was floored at the cost of the install.  I had gotten another estimate from a big name company in San Diego and was pleasantly surprised with the bid Ryan gave me.  I scheduled my floor installation immediately.  Pedro and his nephew arrived at my home a week later and meticulously installed my floor.  Pedro's professionalism and work ethic was evident.  My floor is stunning.  I would highly recommend FC & D due to excellent customer service that extends throughout the entire process, from selection of the product, install, and a followup phone call from Ryan after the project is complete.
