I'm not sure this was the cheapest company, but you surely and without question do get what you pay for -  - that is a lesson I'm now quite comfortable with - - - and I'm certain that using the Deck Doctor for this job was a worthwhile investment and the best use of my resources. Jim provided a timely and detailed estimate. Once we got on each other's calendars, which was not difficult, they did a thorough powerwash and then repainted the deck with two coats, and worked with me to get a color and type of paint that I thought was best. This was a fairly large deck, about 15 by 30, and some benches below, steps with railings and balusters, and two overhead pergolas. Everything on the deck was carefully carried down, and they did a great job masking off everything. They also came back to touch up, and used some of  my existing matching housepaint to neatly fix a few areas of overspray - which is inevitable - and then carefully returned everything to its place on the deck (including planters and a rainbarrel) and then removed all the masking tape. And the guys who did the work were very courteous, professional, thorough and punctual. It couldn't have gone any better.  I don't think you could do any better.

We had a couple of bids in the works, but nobody really wanted to tackle the job. I saw Deck Doctor truck in our neighborhood and the owner came by and bid the job, then completed it on time, on budget, and as promised. Built the stairway rails and handrails, power washed and stained the whole structure. Looks beautiful.

They are incredible thorough.  Their work is very neat and prompt.  They communicate with you so you know exactly what is going on.  If there is a delay you will know.  They are extremely courteous.  They were very honest.  Other companies were trying to tell me I needed to replace the whole deck, which I didn't.  Trust was amazing with this company.  They brought in great painters.  This is a family owned and operated company.  I am extremely happy with how beautiful the deck turned out.  I would use them again in a heat beat.

The Deck Doctor team was fantastic from start to finish. Very responsive and friendly, Jim came over very quickly to give us a quote, and we went ahead with the work without hesitation. Jim is very knowledgeable and was great to work with. He was able to help us decide what treatment would be best and worked with us throughout to ensure we got the best products and colors for our deck's purpose. Jim even power-washed the front of our house and it looks great! Billy came to do the repair work and was very friendly, thorough, and worked quickly. The two guys who came on Friday did a great job doing the initial stain and paint work, both were friendly and communicative about what steps were involved in the process. George was here today doing the finishing touches and was very friendly and kind and did great work.
I can't even begin to describe how great our deck looks! It previously was so old and weather-beaten we were worried we would have to replace the entire structure, but Jim and his team were able to bring it back to life and it looks fantastic! I would recommend the Deck Doctor to anyone, they were absolutely great - professional, friendly, quality workmanship and very knowledgeable. Very, VERY pleased with the work and the results.

The tiles on the roof look clean, but they left some flashing only half cleaned, the other half is super filthy, made worse (I think) by dirt dripping off the tiles.

They also blew all the dirt off the driveway into my garage so that was a mess I had to clean up.

I have contacted the owner, Jim Hamilton, about the issue with the flashing. He said it wasn't part of the roof. Seriously... you can't clean a few feet of flashing that is laying right on top of the room? That just seems like good customer service. The owner said they'd come back out (although he groused that he should charge me for it). To date (11 days later) they still haven't come out.

He also said that they left my garage a mess because I wasn't there to open it for them. Had I known of it, I could've remotely opened the garage door. Also, had I known they were going to leave that flashing unwashed, I would've asked them to wash it, but they assured me they could do all this without me being there.

Overall, the roof looks good, but that filthy flashing is driving me nuts. I'm not happy about the customer service.
They really should've met me at the house to go over with me what they were and weren't going to clean. I was pretty clear I wanted the visible parts of the roof cleaned. That they wouldn't consider flashing a part of the roof is crazy.

Update 4/21/2014: They did come out and clean the flashing 2+ weeks later. I upgraded their grades a notch, where deserved. They could definitely stand to work on their client communication. I'm leaving standing my initial comments because other people deserve to know some of the issues and that they need to be very clear about their communications.

Played telephone tag with the owner but finally got a date for the service.
The arrived promptly and performed the cleaning.
Rather expensive I thought but the gutters and roof were very clean.

Jim the Owner is very professional and reliable. We called him this year and he had Danny and Jason come out to do the cleaning. The guys cleaned all the leaves and pine needles off our roof and out of our gutters. Bagged them and carried them away, no mess! We will use them every year. Highly recommend.

Deck Doctors put a very good bid together. There response was quick. They were very friendly and professional. When we need the service done we will call them.

It went great. My phone call was returned, an appointment was made, the crew arrived as planned and did the job. The communication was excellent, and the quality of work was to my expectations. I would highly recommend Deck Dr Restoration-Powerwash and Gutter Cleaning for this process.

went well, only issue is that the jetting caused a leak in one of our tenants space but that was due to all the debris that accumulated and should not occur again. we plan on using this company again this summer as well as have them power wash our roof.

I never thought the sidewalks and driveway could get that clean. It looked like a totally different house. Very impressed.

Several trees overhang the roof, and the gutters had not been cleaned in several years. The company was careful with new landscaping and was very professional throughout the process. I was happy with the job they did, and I thought they charged a fair price.

On time and good quality of work overall. These hard wood decks are ipe wood(on the ocean) need redone every 2 or 3 years etc. About a five or 6 hour job. We used penofin for the second time being done. The decks look great but of course will wear over time.

I called them and was told a price over the phone, the price was a little high in my opinion. They came right over and cleaned all the rain gutters.

My telephone call was answered promptly and the service was scheduled for the next day because my house was close to their office. They came at the time they promised. They power cleaned out the gutters and the down spouts and power cleaned around my house. They were polite and pleasant and did a good job. My gutters are now working perfectly. I would recommend them.

The two men who performed the work arrived as scheduled and did a very good job. They cleaned and repaired the gutters and then cleaned up the debris that fell on the patio. I'm very pleased with the work and will have them perform future gutter cleaning for me.

On time, efficient, careful cleaned gutters. Found one major obstruction noted rest of system OK. Rapid clean up after, power wash concrete and sidewalk.

Power washed the deck. I had acrylic put down in two places. One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty sq. ft. I was satisfied with their work.
