This is from a husband's perspective. We birthed both of our sons with the midwives at UCSD and had excellent experiences with both. We had prenatal care from both the Medical Offices South in Hillcrest and at the Perlman office in La Jolla. All the midwives we saw for prenatal care were kind and attentive. We wanted to have our first son in the birth center but due to his unusual position, my wife's labor was long and we ended up in labor and delivery. Our midwife (Rebecca Lesser) and nurse went with us and continued to provide us excellent and compassionate care and thankfully our son was born several hours later with their support. Two years later we returned and this time had a perfect birth center experience. This group of midwives supports normal birth and they're very kind and caring as well as experienced and competent. Don't hesitate to check them out.

There are several people and they all work together. They have a nicer approach than what OBGYN’s do and they are very supportive. They were very helpful in any ways I wanted like if was comfortable in medications and wanted without pain or other wise also and I totally like d that because there was flexibility in lot of ways. They were ready to do what I wanted. I go to the clinic to see them. I would use them again in the future if needed.
Description of Work: I used University-California SD for midwifery. The last time I visited them was in December last year.
