THE CHIMNEY MAN

Arrived on time and got right to work. Explained everything he was doing, what we should expect after the patch work. He did everything in a timely manner and worked around my families schedule.

This company was hired by the sellers of a house we are looking at purchasing as a 2nd opinion after a previous company found that the flue liner was cracked and needed repair. As the buyers, it was very fortunate that we happened to be at the property to see his inspection as it was very sub-par. He showed up in a pizza parlor T shirt on and a small maglite to look in the chimney. He reported to the sellers agent that he didn't see any cracks, and thought that the chimney only needed minor repair. We had personally seen the cracks on the previous inspections, and given our concerns, called the 1st company back out, who documented with photos the severe damage, including the cracked flue liner and open mortar joints. The damage was great enough that the chimney was deemed and quot;not safe for useand quot; and will require several thousand dollars of repairs. If we had trusted the review provided by this company, we would have risked having a house fire as a result.

The Chimney Man is highly recommended! So professional and reasonably priced.
He even had is tophat on when he went up on the roof....very fun to work with!

He did a fine job. He didn't charge me very much. It was a remarkably low price for what we received. I'd recommend him to someone who's looking for a low-cost approach.

Everything was outstanding from the estimate to work completion. Craig came over and went over everything with me. He spoke of how he would complete the work to what products he would use. He even offered referrals for the same work and other jobs i asked him about. He was extremely knowledgeable about his trade and shared everything he could. Once the estimate was accepted, Craig told me it would take 3 days for the parts to get in and he would be over at 10. Not a minute late, Craig arrived and went straight to work. He sweep the chimney first making sure all soot was contained. After the inside work was complete, he went to the roof. I joined him during this part of the work asking question and conversing about my job. Once Craig was aware of my profession, he respectfully talked about my work and later offered a small discount for my service. What a great and honorable thing to do. I didn't even have to ask for it, it was offered with great pleasure.
Craig did an excellent job on the chimney work and everything is working as promised. It was very delectable having Craig over to repair and restore my chimney. I highly recommend his work and will with hesitation hire him again.

We bought a new house recently and the first time we used the fireplace, it made our house smell like smoke. After perusing Angie's List, I called Craig, who promptly called me back and despite it being around the holidays, we set an appointment for a few days later. Craig showed up as promised and the overall experience was very pleasant. He is exceptionally professional, he definitely knows his trade and he did a great job. Moreover, you can just tell he is about as honest as they come. Craig also took the time to explain to me how to operate the gas log lighter and how to mitigate any future smoke issues. This is definitely the man you want to hire!

It went great! He's a good and honest man that does very good work.
I have just moved into a new home and I called him after looking at Angie's list.
Turns out I had used him at my other house a few years back but had forgotten.
I would use him again and refer him to others.

The Chimney Man did the repairs and for his estimated cost. I found him to be very professional and personable. I would absolutely use him again.

In point of fact, I had a problem a couple of weeks later and called him in again. He said that although he did not work on the actual mechanics of gas fire places, he was able to fixe my problem and for no charge.

This is a man who strongly believes in doing what is right and for a fair price. When I asked how he stays in business, he said and quot;I like to sleep at night and belive in personal referrals for keeping me in busnessand quot;.

I would definitely use him again.

I had a big buildup from Duraflame type logs, and Craig did a fine job of cleaning out my chimney and fireplace using scrubbing brooms and a shop vac. He left the hearth and fireplace screen very clean.

I was so happy to have an informed and honest chimney expert come to check on our fireplace/chimney. Will have another service call next year.

He was very professional. It was very excellent work. I though that the price was very reasonable.

Craig was on time and very efficient. He got on the roof and checked the chimney. He showed me damage to the brick area surrounding the chimney and suggested it be fixed. He explained he did not do this type of work but gave me the names of a couple contractors. After looking in the chimney he said it did not need to be cleaned (amazing, huh?). Did purchase a new stainless steel chimney cap.

CRAIG DALRYMPLE CAME INTO OUR HOME WEARING A BIG BLACK TOP HAT WHICH I THOUGHT WAS SO COOL. HE CLEANED MY CHIMNEY FAST, AND THERE WAS NOT A MESS FOR ME TO CLEAN UP AFTER HE LEFT. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL.
