La Jolla Custom Concrete

We had used La Jolla Concrete previously, for a sidewalk on a hill that had to be poured without steps. He did excellent work. Manny Flores is personable and easy to work with. For this project... I don't recall how much the entire project cost. It could have been thousands more or less. Manny and his crew removed all the old pavers, leveled the ground, added drainage (we used to flood in heavy rain), poured colored concrete and stamped it. The concrete surrounded the pool and most of the backyard. We have several small areas of grass for kids, dogs, and places to step when we get out of the pool. He helped me lay out a plan and was willing to go over it as he worked. He explained why he was doing what he was doing and pointed out problems he uncovered. (The pool contractor had layed pipes for the pool barely under the surface of the ground.) Manny then built a large concrete barbecue island that is sturdy enough for big guys to dance on. Our outdoor barbecue appliances fit perfectly. He cleaned up everything and didn't leave anything for me to clean up. He pays attention to detail and tries to understand what the homeowner wants. He points out any problems a construction plan might cause and offers solutions. We have a well-known and well-regarded home contractor who concurred that La Jolla Custom Concrete does excellent work. Not only do I recommend La Jolla Custom Concrete, but we will be using him again in the next few months. My son will be using him on his home.
