I called Mike to replace the dishwasher detergent dispenser on our 11 year old Frigidaire dishwasher. I also asked him to check some problems we were having with a "ghost" in our machine (dishwasher would start, run for a minute or two, then stop - or dishwasher would start without anyone even near the machine)! Mike came out, inspected the dishwasher, diagnosed the "ghost" problem (needed a new control board) and estimated all repairs to be in the several hundred dollar range, enough to purchase a new dishwasher. We opted to buy a new dishwasher instead. Mike does repairs only, not installations; otherwise, we would hire him to install the new dishwasher we're about to order. Mike is the owner and sole employee of his business, so you might not get a response from him right away (it says so right on his website) but he is worth the wait. Very honest and reasonably priced.

A frequently and highly recommended on Nextdoor competitor (Complete Appliance in Santee) that does NOT work on Samsung or LG refrigerators was nice enough, though, to refer us to All Appliance Experts as Mike does work on LG and Samsung. The costs were a bit high ($175 for ~1 hour of labor and no parts), but it was clear Mike knew his stuff, was conscientious, and got into parts of the freezer which would have been near impossible I think for most of us mortals to break into without breaking the refrigerator. There was absolutely no drama associated with the repair, although we would have liked to have received a estimate before he completed the work and provided a cost final. Scheduling was a bit of a challenge, primarily because he is right now just a one or two man shop as he works to train his son, Sergio, in the business. Note that there is a bare minimum of $60 as a service call charge whether he does anything or not (sounds like a fairly common business practice in this segment), but then that is applied to the costs of whatever repair is done. Repairs come with a 90 day warranty. I would highly recommend him/them for complicated appliance repairs. I'd be surprised if there are (m)any people/companies with a similar level of expertise for appliance repair. They were both very pleasant, did not waste time, and we would absolutely hire him/them again if (when!) we have other appliance problems. Bottom line: probably not the cheapest, but great technical expertise and professionalism if you're willing to have a little patience with a small family business and I'm fully expecting the one time visit fixed the problem at a far cheaper price than a new refrigerator would have been.

These guys rock - Govan came out to help us with a screwy installation issue when Sears left us high and dry.  I would definitely call then next time we need an appliance repaired.  He was here for hours and we were charged a reasonable amount for all of his efforts.  He even provided some additional advice on fixing a door on our freezer that has been broken for a few years after I had paid him.
