Paul Lauguico Cabinetry

We are very pleased with the end results.  Our kitchen turned out like something you would see in a magazine.  One of our friends who visited a $15M home in the Pasadena showcase said they had a very similar kitchen but ours was way better.  They customized every single detail down to copying an antique finish on our island that I saw in a magazine.  And for the couple of our unusual requests, which were a first time for them, they even brought in a specialist to make sure it would get done right.  The colors and finish turned out amazing.  Like any remodel, there are usually some challenges or problems along the way, of which we had many.  Many of our walls/floors were not straight (by a lot) and there were a few other surprises as well, but to no fault of Paul's.  Paul always stepped up to the plate to make sure it was done right, even if they had to redo something.  If anything wasn't right, Paul always took responsibility and fixed the problem.  He wanted to be proud of his work and I have to say this was a masterpiece kitchen. 

Now for some background:  We started our initial design and getting estimates about 8 months prior to hiring Paul's company.  We almost signed two other contracts.  First, for a Kraftmade kitchen (i.e. Home Depot) and after than with a custom cabinet maker who had great reviews on Angieslist.  In both cases it was the day we were supposed to sign the contract, but something was holding us back.  We did a tremendous amount of investigation and normally wouldn't even consider someone who didn't have enough reviews.  It was a Sunday afternoon of desperation as the clock was ticking and we were about to sign a contract we didn't totally feel good about (and even less expensive than Paul).  We had seriously researched many (I mean many) other vendors in depth, but there was always something.  that Sunday I three other cabinet makers surprisingly answered the phone and we quickly researched all three.  When we met with Paul in his shop we saw how they build their cabinets that was it.  He rendered our design almost immediately gave us an estimate we were very please with.  A few days later we signed the contract. 

We would definitely recommend Paul Lauguico to others.  He has a lot of integrity and does not try to nickel and dime you to death like some companies.  His price and quality was far better than any of the Home Depot or Lowes semi custom cabinets.
