Mike and Athena are consummate professionals.  They take great pride in their work and it showed in the excellent job that they did with our project.  It took a while for us to put together the terms of a the project, but that was really an effort on both sides as we had to figure out our plans for our landscape.  Mike and Athena's experience helped us work through that.  Once we had plans in place, the workers were very focused on the job -- one and a half weeks from the first day to completion for a decent-sized job.  We had a couple of minor post-project issues that they cleared up for us as well.  Overall excellent experience with them.  

Paving stone work was great and I would highly recommend.  It was done on time and looks beautiful.  Planned slopes for water runoff working great.  Very economical.  Got there on time and work completed on time.
Also used to install wrought iron fencing along drive and patio.  They subcontracted the work and the subcontractor was not good.  Materials not good, never finished capping the posts and the paint job so poor it is already starting to rust. Plus the fencing subcontractor was just rude.  We ended up paying someone else to cap posts.
If I needed pavingstone work done I would definitely use them but not for anything else.

It went very well. From start to finish, there were no problems. All the workers were polite and responsible.  They showed up did an incredible job and gave us the front yard we dreamed of having.  We never had any concerns during  the project which started on time and ended on time.  We are so happy that we found Landscape Adventures on Angie's List.

Mike Owen was responsive to my inquiries about changing over my yard to a more drought tolerant option.  Mike supplied me with lots of references and addresses to drive by for ideas, and had samples dropped off for me to review.    The crew were professional and cleaned up everything each evening before they left for the day.  I hope the result will reduce my water usage!

We were so pleased with every aspect of the project. Mike made great recommendations about where and where not to put the pavingstones and about the suggested color of the pavers. He patiently answered all our questions about patterns.
The crew arrived when we expected them and the project was completed in two days. We were especially taken with how the crew tied in the pavers with our existing fence. The cutting that they did took extra time but the result is just fantastic. They also did a great job with modifying some steps to have safer drops from level to another and look so much better.
Mike came by several days later to check on everything and made a quick sprinkler adjustment.
We highly recommend Mike and Landscape Adventures for any project you might be considering.

We are very pleased with the result, which has simply transformed the approach to our house. It was Mike's idea to use pavers, as opposed to poured concrete, and he patiently worked with us to define the layout and selection. He was very good at describing the flow of the project and what problems they might encounter along the way. He had a great eye for what would mesh with our house coloring and the shape of our property, and what he came up with works beautifully in our yard. His crew came in on time, were polite and well-mannered, and finished on schedule. They were happy to fix a problem we pointed out to them. The foreman spoke excellent English and was happy to discuss the project with us.

Excellent, hard-working crew with exceptional work ethic provided a beautiful new driveway and adjoining walkways. Kept areas clean and made sure all debris was removed when job was completed.

I hired Mike Owen and his relatively new firm, Landscape Adventures, largely because I was very pleased with the job he and his team did in installing pavers on our large driveway in 2006 when he and his team worked for another company in this business.  I thought they did a great job for us and they were a pleasure to work with.   I was especially pleased with how the team leader, Edmilson Hernandez, handled the critical border pavers that separated the paving area and our plant beds, and his cooperation and efficiency in moving several heavy and large flower pots off the pool deck at the outset and back again after the pavers had been expertly installed to our satisfaction and a sealer applied to extend the life and look of our new pool deck.  Our immediate neighbors had been observing the project for weeks from a good vantage point.  They were so impressed with what they saw, supported by my positive evaluation, that they hired Mike's firm to install pavers on their long asphalt driveway, and they were also quite happy with the work done.  I wouldn't hesitate to use Landscape Adventures again, nor to recommend the firm to others who have similar needs.Knut

Mike was VERY patient with our changes and how long we took to finally make the decision to redo our driveway and backyard (almost a year).   The project took 1 week for the driveway and 4 weeks for the deck, trellis, fence, and new lighting, lawn and landscaping.  He found the subcontractors, stopped by daily, and whenever we needed someone to solve a problem or fix something if it didn't look right.   We're still in touch with him and would work with him again.
