Following a bad power surge caused by the testy SCE circuit that serves my neighborhood, Anavar Electric suggested and installed a whole-house surge suppressor on the main panel; a surprisingly simple and cost-effective device. During the same visit, Anavar also performed the tune-up on my stand-by generator. The owner is personable, professional and easy to work with.

Rafi was fantastic. He came to give me an estimate. He was on time, extraordinarily knowledgeable and reasonable. On the spot he fixed a bunch of little things for the minimum first hour I agreed to. He came back as promised, fixed everything that needed fixing. He showed me how to do minor fixes that solved my problems when I thought we were going to need major overhaul. Honest, efficient, effective and great judgement. I would hire him again in a minute.

Rafi was the only one of 8 A-rated licensed electrical professionals I messaged through Angie's List who wrote back. He forgot to discuss his rates or provide an estimate prior to starting work, but otherwise, working with him was a great experience. He moved with efficiency in assessing and addressing various issues contributing to our problems, providing us with detailed information about the process as we asked questions. All the lights and outlets that went out are now working again and some safety upgrades have also been made. Rafi was personable and capable, and I'd definitely utilize his services again in the future.

I have been using Rafi and Anavar Electric for nearly 10 years. I have never come across a more knowledgeable and professional electrician EVER. I have 2 very old classic homes that required him to disassemble the wood boards both in the ceiling and walls, to get to where he needed to work. His meticulous workmanship both with the electrical work and getting the place back together as good as new is amazing. He has found dangerous situations with the old wiring and totally rewired and upgraded the areas along the way. He is always on time and great to deal with!

He put my mom at ease. You have to know her, but he gained her confidence and was very kind. He fixed the lights outside as well to come on at night, and he only charged my mom 39 dollars.

Great service. Saturday arrival took care of 3 different things that have been on my To Do list. Figured out and replaced a blown outlet in the kitchen. Repaired an overhead light above the sink (and recommended an upgrade that I could do on my own at a later date) and managed to hang an external light on my entrance gate with an innovative/quality approach. Rafi was very pleasant and patient in answering my electrical-related questions, of which I had quite a list. Would certainly recommend him to others.

I had never used Anavar previously so I was surprised by how quickly Rafi replied to my voicemail. Then he came right over and assessed the job (no charge). I appreciated that he suggested I pick up the new fan to save money and even went online to Home Depot with me to show me which fan to buy. After I picked up the fan and called him he came over and promptly installed it. Throughout he was very professional and offered me tips and suggestions. When finished he cleaned up very nicely. The price was much better than the electrician who performed the same work about 5 years ago.

If you need an Electrician, look no further! We just bought a house that we knew needed work and Rafi has been an unbelievable help fixing it up! He worked on everything from replacing light fixtures to installing and upgrading the fuse panel and each task was completed to a very high standard. In addition to the great work and value, what sets Rafi apart is that he was looking out for us and helping us settle in, pointing out non-electrical things to fix or watch out for. My wife was at home on maternity leave and felt really comfortable with Rafi working there when she was on her own. I can't say enough good things about Rafi and Anavar Electric.

I found Rafi on Angie's List about two years ago and he has been my go to electrician for all electrical matters big and small since that time. This review is long overdue. We had a tree die that contained the junction box that connected our house and garage. The wiring was 90 years old and a mess. Ravi spent a LOT of time problem solving and discussing options and was really patient. He is professional, responsive, clearly an expert electrician, and has high standards: he will do the work the right way. I rated Price a B because his prices are normal, not undercutting, but value-wise Price is an A. Rafi is also a super individual and over the past two years has become like a neighbor. I give him my highest recommendation.

Rafi worked efficiently and completed the job on time. Everything is working perfectly and I'm very happy with every aspect of his work. A couple of days after completing the job, he called just to check up things.

Rafi?s prompt action was especially helpful because the problem needed to be fixed soon.  Surprisingly, a Chatsworth electrician I had worked with for a few years and who frames himself as an EV charging expert let me down when he installed an EV plug-in in my garage in a manner, I later learned, not compliant with the EV manufacturer?s published specs using a receptacle box that was way too stamped-metal-cockeyed for my residential garage.  In a brief email exchange, the original electrician indeed confirmed the components he used but when I asked that he redo the job soon (prior to EV delivery) there was nothing, silence, cricket
chirps.  Rather than risk the safety of my family, house or property, I called Rafi based on his excellent reviews and I was not disappointed.  He has solid EV charging experience, the work he performed was first-rate and it looks great (and safe).

Ravi responded to my initial call promptly and was able to do the work within 1-2 days.  For the cabinet light installation, he worked hard to find the right size and quality LED lights.  Once ordered and obtained, he returned to complete the job without any delay.  He was pleasant and extremely professional.  He even took a look at a problematic outside light and fixed the problem without an extra charge.  He then recommended the type of light that we would need to replace the faulty unit.
I would absolutely call Rafi again for any future electrical repairs.

I never thought I would be writing a "fan letter" for an electrician. But Rafi is not like other electricians. In this day of everyone trying
to cut corners and try to do the easiest thing possible just to get done, Rafi stands out. He pays close attention to every detail and carefully makes decisions based on what is best for the situation. This is the most intelligent contractor we have ever had working on our property.

Rafi doesn't cut corners but makes the best decisions for the situation, always asking for my opinion when there are several options. In one instance we discussed the options and decided to not go with something that would be time consuming and costly, even though it would be beneficial to proceed in that manner.

He is prompt, courteous, and cleans up after himself. All of this while providing his electrical expertise to every aspect of the job.

Raffi showed up on time.   Is a nice articulate guy who explained what he was doing and why.  I'd recommend Anavar to anyone and plan to use him again when we do a kitchen remodel.

Rafi is excellent and I can wholeheartedly recommend him for household electrical work.   He basically reworked the back half of our house with multiple visits over a couple of months, meshing in with the other work that we are going.   The house needed some serious electrical work, and now it is much better.   He's seems to be particularly good at working with what you've got in an older house.   He communicates well and is highly professional, a pleasure to work with in general.   I am looking forward to using him again when / if we can pull off our remodel.

I love Raffi!  He is professional, tries to find the most reasonably priced solution to your problem, comes on time, and is no drama.  He had actually come to my home one another time when I had a problem with a switch and when it turned out it was a small problem he didn't even charge me.  He could have told me it was a $1,000 problem and I probably would have believed him.  I like that kind of honesty and integrity.  Raffi definitely knows what he's doing and he's easy to work with.  I highly recommend him.

Rafi was PROFESSIONAL and COURTEOUS from the time he arrived to give an estimate to wire a roof mounted power vent until he completed the job. The job had to be delayed a couple of days because of the excessive heat(which is completely understandable); but as soon as there was a slight cooling, Rafi and I scheduled an early morning appointment; and the job was completed in a timely manner. Very happy with Anavar Electric and will not hesitate to use again should the need arise. Thank you, Rafi.

This company did a great job for a great price.

Rafi responded to my request for a quote very quickly and provided a fair price quote. He was very thorough in his evaluation of the work I wanted completed and made sure I was satisfied with everything. Overall a great experience and I will certainly be calling him again when I'm ready for my solar panel installation.

I contacted Rafi on Thursday 4/12 to see if he could repair/replace a broken bathroom vent fan.  He was able to come two hours later since he was working nearby.  He disconnect the motor, and said he would try to replace the broken part and have it ready to reinstall sometime the next week.  On the following Monday morning, he called to say he could re-install the repaired fan that afternoon, which he did.  This is the third time I have used his services, and have been very impressed with his professionalism, honesty, and responsiveness.  Just so you know, he doesn't accept credit cards, which is OK with me.

Rafi installed a new bathroom outlet that required complex wiring from the attic crawl space, charging only $180 (including 10% senior discount). After he had finished, I showed him a malfunctioning switch in the other bathroom; when he took it apart he found the switch to be broken and dangerous, and though he was very tight on time, he went to Home Depot, purchased a replacement switch and installed it for only $10 additional in labor plus the price of the switch. He was both friendly and professional the entire time he was in our home. I recommend him highly.
