The honored the ad from a competitor... for a price that even the original advertiser wasn't easily willing to honor.

Once they have your money you are irrelevant. The longer version follows.
We purchased a new vehicle 02/16/13 paying all but $13K via
credit card, check and cashiers check (per their request). The balance was to
be paid via wired money within a week.
We left a check as collateral which they promised not to cash. The
finance manager gave wiring instructions for the balance. We later discovered that their instructions
incorrectly listed another Toyota
dealership bank account instead of the local bank account. After repeated phone
calls and emails to confirm they had received payment, all of which were
ignored; we escalated conversation to Loren
Coleman (Finance Director). He also did not return calls or emails and only
a personal visit from me revealed the bad account #. At which point we found out they cashed our
check 10 days after the monies had been received by the Florida dealership and
we were charged twice ($54) for insufficient funds. Since dealerships do not
communicate with one another (per Loren), Toyota of Irvine continued to show we owed $13K, and we
even received a collection letter threatening legal action and dinging our
credit with one of the nation's largest
credit agencies. All the while they had the full amount of vehicle in their
banking accounts. Loren continued to ignore our communications regards updates
so we escalated issue to Efram Barcello
(GM), who in turn ignored all but one communication. Finally, we went back to
dealership and confronted both Loren and Efram.
They acknowledged the error was all theirs and promised to have a check
for $54 mailed out the following day. NINE
weeks later they continue to ignore ALL emails and phone messages and have not
cut a check for $54. Despite a couple
dozen communications from us, neither Loren or Efram attempted to keep us
posted or investigate unless we were standing in front of them forcing them to
act. The car is paid for, they have no further interest. Period.

For their service, it is uncharacteristic that I have had such a good results of them honestly. Every time I have called, everybody seemed professional. I have been able to get in, get things scheduled and done. It is always been the amount that I expected. There has been no hidden cost. No unusual things. They do what they say they are going to do. It cost what they say it is going to cost. I have taken my car to them every time and I have not had any issues with it. In addition, their hours and scheduling are flexible.

My friends 2005 Toyota Camry passenger seat belt was folded in the guide and would not retract.
She took it to Power Toyota to fix it and they wanted to charge her $475 to replace the whole mechanism/belt!
That seemed outrageous so I told her that I would look at it. It took me a few minutes to devise an approach
as I am not much of a DIYer, but all it took was to loosen the small lower panel on the piller (covering the lower
part of the seat belt) so that I could pull the belt thru the guide so that the fold could be removed. I then snapped
the plastic panel tight and all was good. It only took about 20 minutes from start to finish. BTW, the 2005 Camry
has MANY documented complaints of passenger seat belt jamming problems...check online. Anyway, it seemed
like the dealer was trying to take advantage of a woman. This would have cost $500 with tax. That's not right!

I have a deal with them where I paid them an amount when I bought the car so when I take it in I don't get charged. Their customer service is excellent. They are very efficient and it is an efficiently run operation. I like going there because it is pretty quick. I don't have anything to compare their prices to. The quality of work seems fine and I don't have any problems. There are times they have told me I could come in quicker if I wanted to pick up the car.

Auto Service, Rentals - Cars
Left my car at Power Toyota of Cerritos for 3-day warranty service. Service Dept. assured me that loaner car (through Enterprise Car Rental of Cerritos) was at no cost to me. I signed form to borrow car at Enterprise, no discussion of costs, except assurance by Enterprise that Power Toyota was covering all costs. 3 weeks later I received charge on my Mastercard for rental expenses from Enterprise. I am still trying to get charges reversed, but with usual run-around from both Toyota and Enterprise. Advice: no matter what Toyota tells you, the car loaner program is NOT free.

I felt the salesperson, a young woman wasn't very knowledgeable with cars but she was not pushy or didn't try to pressure me at all which I appreciated. The entire process was fairly straight forward.

The company does a great job on my car every time I take it to them. They give me intermediate service and they always keep my car in tip-top shape. I feel their price could have been lower but it's definitely worth it.
