Orange County Fresh Carpet Cleaning

Oh how I wish I'd read the reviews for OC Fresh Carpet Care before agreeing to have my tiny apartment cleaned by them for a quoted price of $79 over the phone. 
Whatever you do, do not do business with this company. If you read nothing else here, do not do business with this company. There is no way you'll experience anything other than super high-priced regret.
-The technician who showed up was very hard to communicate with. He brought along his ~15-year-old son, but the kid didn't help things.
-They were armed with cold war era equipment.
-In the first five minutes, they cleaned two spots in highly visible areas as a "demonstration". But it was actually the first part of a shake down.
-Now that they had my carpet looking truly horrific, except in two very visible spots, they proceeded to demand 5x to 10x more money than I was promised I'd have to pay on the phone.
-First offer was $610 for the whole job. I have a *tiny* apartment. This was laughable. I talked him ever downward for a while, but we were so far apart that it became insulting.
-I was now in a negotiation that felt like it would never end. I called the main number for OC Fresh Carpet Care and was given a runaround. Rather than do what any good business would do, they made promises to get me off the phone and then ignored me.
-The cleaner started cleaning, after assuring me that he could get the whole job done for $450, which I told him was ridiculous.
-Second phone call to OC Fresh Carpet Care got me a person who sounded identical to the first, but claimed to be a different person. She also put me off with promises.
-I then got to take pictures of the cleaner dumping dirty cleaning solution down a sewer drain. That's a crime. So OC Fresh Carpet Care has brought a complaint to the EPA into my life.
-Third call to OC Fresh Carpet Care went straight to voicemail. They figured out what my phone number is and screened me. That was infuriating.
-I demanded a return call from a manager. I was very clear about this. Two days later, I called and left the same message. I have still not ever gotten a return call from OC Fresh Carpet Care. So in addition to having to report them to the EPA, I have to report them to the Better Business Bureau. I don't want these hassles in my life. I just wanted my carpet cleaned for a reasonable price.
-The cleaning results were awful. My carpet was left sopping wet. The tech didn't make a slow vacuum pass to end. It took my carpet five days to dry.
-Highly visible black scuff marks were imparted onto most of my previously white baseboards. The marks do not clean off with normal cleaning attempts. I'm going to have to paint all my baseboards.
-The technician ended by demanding $450 from me for the job. He made me extremely uncomfortable to the point that I ended up paying him the shakedown money. How I felt at the time was "this is a complete stranger who now knows where I live and knows everything about my personal possessions" and there was a subtext of threat. Very regretfully, very sorrowfully, I paid him $450.
-Looking back on it, I should have called the Irvine Police Department. I wish I had. 
More than anything, I SO WISH I had gotten my carpets cleaned by anyone other than OC Fresh Carpet Care. Don't make the same mistake I did!
