Truthfully, I reached out to Lorie @ Ocean's Capital on a whim because I did not believe I'd qualify for a refinance (my second mortgage holder offered me a settlement when the mortgage fiasco happened even though I'd never missed a payment, I took it so it's a bit of a spot on the credit report). Lorie was really like an old friend from the moment we started speaking, she had great information, I never felt as if I was being judged and she was full of quick tips to gather the mountain of documents needed. From start to finish was less than a month and I've now shaved 7.5 years off of my mortgage. Already passed her info on to a friend.

Things did not go well with them. It all seemed great except that they did not tell us exactly the whole list of docs we needed to provide for them. The critical documents were not asked for all at once, they asked for one thing, we would give it to them, then they would want another one. The wanted a $995 cancellation fee, so we did not lock the deal in with them. We paid for the appraisal with them for $460.

I submitted a quote request Oceans Capital after being ridiculously frustrated with the holder of my old mortgage (WF). I had been working on refinancing for months, and literally had gotten nowhere. Within a couple of minutes, Christina Bohannon had called me back, and I made more progress in a 10 minute call than I had in the past 6 months. She took it from there, and low and behold, I now have a much lower interest rate! It's hard to say enough about the service I got from Christina - but her attentiveness to me, and her responsiveness truely set her apart from anybody I have dealt with in the past. I can't recommend Christina enough.
Also - I should note that unfortunately Christina was under the weather for a couple of days during my refi. Her colleagues stepped in, and didn't miss a beat while she was out. All-in-all, it was just a wonderful experience.
